Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

So, a white scarf is the only "safe" color one can wear to avoid perverts and freaks. Okay then.

I'm also getting really pissed off at this normalization of sexualizing teenagers-- consider that (at least in the US), the age of consent in most states is around 18. They're normalizing making the sexual habits of minors a topic of interest/ celebration-- and that's kind of inappropriate in itself. Why do we need a fictional character, presumably not "of legal age", who has an identified set of sexual kinks?
I'd like to think the artist didn't know about the kerchief code and just went with a cutesy "americana" fashion statement, especially since kweerz are all about being qUiRkY and not knowing how to dress themselves. He is wearing it like an old-timey miner/railroad worker rather than in his back pocket like an 80s San Fran gay.

Sorry to doublepost, but I just found this piece on a radfem blog. The message is nice, but maybe there's an option between Instagram Influencer levels of makeup and taking a belt sander to the face...?
I too would wear huge amounts of makeup and dye my hair to avoid people noticing my misshapen hands, horrible shade of hair, and leprosy.

As my friend said: that's crazy man....
That picture (and many others in this thread, but this one in particular) really reminds me of the typical "Tumblr Sims" look:

- that one. Massive flat noses, excessive blush, large mouthes and raised upper lip showing a tooth gap, either very thin or very thick eyebrows, dyed hair, weird skin pigmentation and small narrow eyes set far apart. I sometimes wonder why do people keep making characters that look like this - is this an attempt to "reclaim ugliness", contrarianism, genuine appreciation or just current fashion among teenageers?

I would absolutely fight all these people if given the chance.

Pink hair =/= your skin color will automatically turn black.

You are not Kirby, sir (or MA’AM)

Those SIMS templates look like the thumbnails you’d see for invasive ads that try to sell you on 3DCG porn. It usually involves simulated scenarios where you want to see the different amount of ways on how those SIMS templates will make you cheat on your spouse.

"You don't need to hide your imperfections behind makeup, but brown hair is boring and ugly so dye it you queer."

Great message by the artist there.

>"Yuo don't nead maekup yuor naturla look good enuogh!!"
>dyes hair weird colors
I'm getting mixed messages here

but isn't this hirsutism erasure?
I just love to be this evil
But in all seriousness if it isn't the genetic mutation, where you're born a Bigfoot, it's a serious sign in woman that something's off and should be checked out. I hate how those body positive people always pile on those who are at a serious health risk and tell them it's the world's biggest sin to try and get healthy.
And yet, looking back over half the art on this thread, pretty much all of the 'artists' have created the very caricatures they were trying to avoid by having too many features look accurate to the race in a bad way.
It's either that or white person left for too long in the oven. I've only seen a handful of artists and all of them professional ones, who actually manage to draw black people without making them butt ugly/a caricature.

A better and hell of a more respectful way of saying it is "Try practicing black or ethnic features when drawing specific races of people, it's okay to experiment!".
It’s depressing how they lose so many people by acting like condescending and confrontational asses when they would catch so many more flies with honey.

That's what happens when all your interaction comes from shitty, fake-cutesy, people on twitter that are part of massive ouroboros of aural pleasure. Saying things in a reasonable way so that even people that might disagree with you are willing to hear you out is a skill that isn't built by a speaking to a legion of unidentifiable asshats.

apparently drawing people in a certain way makes you racist?? okay

Reading that doesn't make me want to draw black people, especially because the left have a track record of being extremely stingy about how black people are portrayed and do they're best to stain your reputation as a racist.

The guy says that accidentally making a caricature might be forgivable but in this thread, I've seen nothing but caricatures or even uglification of blacks.

in other related sjw news, based japanese artist has had enough of fellow japanese artists being attacked, so they put out a small PSA that proceeded to trigger the exact people they were talking about
