He was using the Kik messenger app. I'd assume it definitely uses encryption, so it'd be impossible for anyone other than Kik's admins to monitor the content that users were sharing. Same goes for any other messenger service - Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.

They could just block access to the services entirely, by blocking access to the service's URLs/IP addresses. But are you really going to block all of your employee's personal cellphones from accessing Facebook and Twitter through the wi-fi just because pedos use them to share pedo stuff?

Probably super late, but that moniker has been in existence for Milwaukee since the 1860's.
