Why do people watch Quinton? What does he actually offer?

He's a novelty channel that does video essays that give you the "deep dive" on nostalgia for zoomers and millenials that he's passionate about. The algorithm loves to promote those channels and it's trendy. The viewers don't tend to have the knowledge to call out bullshit about the topic if they're producing shit content as long as it doesn't miss basic themes and topics. The channels that float to the top of the medium tend to cover more topics and are of exceptional quality. I.E EmpLemon and Fredick Knudsen's Down The Rabbit Hole. But, there's an underbelly of mediocre, bad and niche ones like Quinton who still find reasonable success that you've never heard of. Quinton is just special in that he's an exceptional individual that had a chance to go for the gold because of his connections but threw it all away. That's why anyone knows his name at all and if it wasn't for his uncontrollable urge to poltisperg he'd just be one of the aforementioned nameless niche essay channels with a slow and consistent growth.

If you wanna see it done right I'd suggest Billiam. He has that proper soy look that adds charm to his talk about products and shows for little kids. Still has pronouns in his bio and is subbed to Contra and Philosophytroon, but you'd have to go out of your way to find his politics. At least last I checked. While on the other hand his passion for Y2K era shit comes in spades and is abundant in everything he does. Been awhile since I watched him though, so apologies if this has changed.

He had an entire episode dedicated to talking about how important and serious the BLM riots were and how evil and horrible and evilly horrible da police were, and how he was auctioning off an extremely rare and coveted collector's item with all the proceeds going straight to domestic terrorist bail funds. (Conveniently it's gone from his main channel, I think it was brigaded very, very hard and a lot of people called him out.)

Dude is trash, unsub. (Actually I have a strange feeling I'm wrong and mean somebody else, but I can't remember who. It was definitely an anime/cartoon reviewer with productions very, very similar to Billiam. I'm very confused now.)

Edit: If you want a good anituber, look no further than kenny lauderdale. I love him.
