He's lying to save face as usual. A lot of the night streams lately have been completely out of control, often times a single mod doesn't even show up. After everything that happened over the past few days it's almost comical in retrospect that Anonymouse was the most consistent mod and carried out most of the modding duties that were beneficial to the audience and viewing experience like setting up polls and the bets. And with him gone he needs mods more than ever. He's kind of stuck in a catch-22 where he needs to more thorough than ever in his mod selection process but he needs mods urgently, likely why Timbo who was a mod in the past was selected almost immediately.

It's hilarious how in that tweet he literally says "It's perfectly fine, and I did have fun today..." despite having a 20 minute sperg out session at the end of his stream to rant about all the problems he has with the game design and how unfun, repetitive and archaic he thinks the game is.

Because he's terrified of people pointing fingers at him and holding him accountable. He doesn't want anyone going on about how "Well I WANTED Phil to play this game but he said no. He chickened out, worst streamer ever"
So he has to muddy things up and make it harder to see his insecurities at face value, just the way the corporations he hates would.

He talked to LyteSydePhil/Paul, not me (I know, fucking confusing, but we're not original with our names, oh well) about his intention of becoming mod in order to fuck with Phil, and claimed that he contacted other known whales in order to let them know he would "cover" the night stream's vest streaks, and got DSP dependent upon him tipping at night, and then ducked out during Paper Mario. I don't know if he talked to other detractors or "ironic fans" about his troll op plans.
OIC only contacted me when I pointed out that he would never be mod on a restream. That started the hate boner. I compared him to Vidar and Tut in a restream and he felt the need to DM me, then share our DMs with DSP in order to get me banned.
Its funny because the restream in question was the day after in the mod leaks where DSP said he wasn't going to mod OIC, so OIC thought it had been leaked to me by a mod, and went around asking other detractors who my source was, trying to run ops on the mods to unseat one or more in order to make an opening for himself.
Truly exceptional behavior.

He openly admits to changing vote totals on his forum polls, ostensibly due to trolling. It's total gaslighting, and intentionally or not he beats his paypiggies and slow fans down into believing that what he says is 1. better for them than what they want and/or 2. the truth as opposed to the facts you can see with your own eyes [sorry sbm] (both of which are classic manipulative/cult-like behavior).

Did he ever mentioned what he was going to do if he was modded? Because I can't think of anything that he can do that won't trigger his one-trip to the Banworld. Like, he wants to do mass unbans? Enter the Discord and leak everything (well, a bit too late to it, bud...)? I don't get it.

Holy shit... Please forgive the self quote, but just to put this post in perspective, I did a little research. This took a while, because I'm not sure if someone tracks individual stream numbers, but I went through each stream on DDM and took the total amount he made for each day stream the last 3 weeks.. If someone (or some website) tracks the tip total for each stream, please let me know, and we can go back further.

The point from my original post still stands. I would be shocked if there's been more than 1 day stream where he got less than $55, since before the vest streak started. Im sure someone can find it, but again, I would be shocked if there has been MORE THAN ONE single day stream where he got lower than what he got today! I think the leaks and what Anony is still putting out, along with Phil's terrible reaction to everything is going to hurt him. He might not get banned off twitch, but this might be a turning of the tide. Some people will vote optimistic, and I understand that, but as I said earlier, the only way we can judge this guy is off of money, because that is all that matters to him..
We knew he makes a lot, but I'm still blown away just writing this..

I don't know what fake poll you guys were screencapping, but it wasn't the real one... Phil only saw 55% interest.
Monster Hunter was playing from behind in the sense that Phil doesn't like the series, it is the type of game where handholding doesn't really work because no amount of strategy tips can compensate for the fact that his mechanics are garbage (versus a game like Divinity where being given strategies can cover his failures), and there is the lingering question of multiplayer, which Phil does not want to deal with. As others have stated, he doesn't want guests on the stream because even Kekon upstaged him, nevermind Brian.
The only thing that might have saved this game would have been tips - if Phil were under the impression people were going to pay out, he may have been willing to slog through it. Games like Yakuza are easy and he genuinely enjoys them, so he is likely to retain them even as tips slow because he at least doesn't hate the game and can apply begging pressure to try to bump the money occasionally.
Phil's playthroughs have become a very obvious balancing act of greed versus laziness. His comment about this game 'being out of his comfort zone' just emphasizes that he has really given up - he does not want to deal with games that will challenge him in any capacity. From Software games will still get a pass because he knows they will yield money because of the reputation, but everything else can get fucked if he needs to be remotely concerned about not hitting the tips goal on top of the challenge.
I don't know how disingenuous he was being with this today, as he should have known there was a good chance tips were going to be dipping today: Everyone knows Twitch just paid him, he has no begging narrative, and people have had a full day to go over the leaks and realized what he does with personal information. He wanted this game gone anyway though, so he is pretending those aren't a factor for low tips.

He found my sock account on Twitch and we have been talking for a few months. I told him his plan wasn't going to work because he is worth more to Paranoia Phil as an open wallet whale than him becoming a mod so we can laugh that he paid for the Modship, Timbo played that game better and that must suck.

Did some quick math on this. So this is a span of 20 days. Now Dave asks $100 per stream so $200 in one day to be able to live. So for 20 days he needs $4,000 to live on. I added all the day streams here and they make up $3,183 for 20 days. Meaning he is short $817 which the night streams need to cover. Divide the short of $817 to 20 days and you get $40.85 needed on the night streams to cover his $4,000 needed to live on. Meaning he is hustling his fans saying he doesnt meet the Tips Goal at night but in reality his day streams cover 79.575% of his needed $4,000.

I wish I could agree with you but no. This is not a "turning of the tide", it's just a simple lull. The whales have been working overtime the last few weeks and are taking a breather. They'll be back in a few streams/days.
This always happens: peaks and valleys. Last few weeks were the "peaks". Right now we're in the valley. If DSP gets another stream like today you can be sure he'll start a new whale call to compensate for these "valleys".

DSP just needs to ramp up the begging and they will come running back. He paid his tax guy, he got paid from Twitch, and Wednesday's groceries are still a few days away, so he doesn't have a good narrative at the moment. He has returned to baseline levels of begging (which is still a lot, god damn).
We've seen it time and time again. He can fabricate the laziest, most unimaginative excuse and he will be showered in tips. "Uhhh so there's this behind the scenes repair bill that I shouldn't have to pay but they're telling me I have to. Gib."
