She says in that time stamped section that after her WLS is confirmed, she'll have to get serious about changing her eating. She has ir backwards - assuming she's able to get over all the other pre-op hurdles, (doubtful), they'll want to see some serious changes in dietary habits lasting longer than 48 hours before they "soft confirm" her surgery.

I use the term soft confirm because any stupidity on her part leading up to surgery day can easily lead to cancellation.

I suspect her day is going badly. Her car appointment was at eight or something like that this morning & I have a feeling her car needs a lot of work.

She said it was at 10, but wanted to get there at 9 to try and get in early.

I said she was a poor baby having to get up at 8 to get her car fixed

I looked this up: Looks like the don't have a "Gravy Pizza", but what you do is order 3 bucks worth of gravy plus any pizza and pour it on.

Judging by what Chin's ordered it's either a Ziti Pizza or a Bianca Pizza:

Obviously an X-Large (32.50), gravy is 3 bucks, Fried Zucchini is $9.95, Cannoli $3.50 (probably 2), 3 bottles of soda at $2.00 a piece ($6)

Grand Total: $58.45 before tax and any delivery
Chantal spends money on delivery food like a junkie spends on... well, junk. I bet she spends $200/day on food more often than not, purposely putting it all on credit cards (cope: I’ll pay it off at the end of the month! 2% cash back at restaurants this month!) so she doesn’t see the bank balance drop using debit. She fat

I got whiplash from cancer warrior opinion on Chantel

A person struggling with problems that aren’t self inflicted sitting in a hospital getting the help she needs

while chinny is pulling cream cheese from her armpits playing a victim not seeking help but indulging her addiction while using her addiction as an excuse to not be criticized or to complain about how terrible she has it

"Wait times for bariatric surgery in Canada are the longest of any surgically treatable condition, and vary significantly from province to province. A significant proportion of the wait time experienced by patients referred to bariatric surgery is between referral and consultation with a specialist. Patients in most provinces wait for two years or more, and the wait can be as long as four to five years."

When the "free" in free healthcare has a yuuuuge asterisk after it. *teehee

A morbidly obese person (theoretically) could use the time to work on reducing, but I think that's the point; if you can lose 50-100 lbs on your own a la Dr Now's diet, conceivably you can lose the whole of your excess body-fat if you get into the right mindset. Fatties always want the magic pill, the easy way out - or they wouldn't have put themselves in a life-threatening position in the first place. They tend to be lazy fucks who expect the world to be handed to them for whatever reason and throw a tantrum when that fails to happen.

But see, that's the thing they don't understand. WLS is not easy.

I don't have much direct experience with it beside a friend. The pre-surgery weight loss was probably the easiest part. She had to eat a certain amount of calories but as long as she was losing weight, she could eat pretty much what she wanted. There was food she needed to avoid in the last 2 weeks prior to surgery, which are those that can build up gaz in the intestine such as green veggies and legumes/beans.

Post-surgery was a whole new level of diet. Three weeks of liquids. Then another 2-3 weeks of ice cream (that she suddenly couldn't digest) and jell-o. Then a slow reintroduction of food, starting with soft ones. She had to eat 6-8 times a day, and eat 2 tablespoons of food each time. Water was ½ cup and filled the stomach so much that it had to be taken alone, without food. It took her about 8 months to build up to the point where she can have a "meal", which consist of about a cup of food and liquid (so if you drink ½ cup, you eat ½ cup, or if you drink ¼ cup, you can eat ¾ cup, etc.) per meal, and 2 snacks (and by snack I mean 4-5 grapes or a third of a banana, otherwise she feels too full).

And she was lucky because beside dairies she can't really digest anymore, everything went well with her surgery.

I'm sorry but I personally don't find WLS easy at all. I rather eat clean and hit the gym 5x a week than going under the knife. The only thing with WLS is that it's so drastic, you don't really have the choice to follow the post-surgery instructions or you'll rip your stomach open and you could literally die. (We remember Chantal ripped her hysterectomy incision from eating too much...)

For the love of all thing glory, can you imagine Chantal having to restrict that much for the rest of her life? :story:

Exactly.

She also has no idea what a normal portion size even is. We do, and we realize that eating a cup total of food and beverage at a meal is a very small portion of food. I think she hears "tiny portions for life" and thinks "just one burger and a medium fries instead of half the drive-thru menu" or "a slice of pizza and some salad rather than a large pie and a whole poutine on the side". You know. Normal portions.

She may even believe she'll be able to stick to normal portions, except for special occasions like her birthday week, Christmas, bad days, and Tuesdays, when she'll knows she'll revert back to her bingeing. And even that's assuming she ever allowed a doctor to tell her not to eat whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted, in the quantities she wanted.

This is all so absurd.

Here's a lovely post-meal gravy stained shirt selfie to get you by on this miraculous Tuesday! Her ears are non-existent in this photo, but it's her birthday week! Even though we all know it's a horrible ass excuse to pig out for 7 days straight, hooray! Ozempic who?

I don't think there is any way for me to communicate my horror and dismay that there are even more than ten people who don't think that Chin-Hell is practically the most horrendous and pernicious creature that is alive today.

Did anyone catch during her most recent live stream when she muted and asked Peetz a question? I think she said “where’s the steak?” and then “ok.”

Did she... did she have a steak earmarked for a pre-bed snack? because she was already eating like 6 entrees on camera, so what’s one more? Did I miss something here?
I'm fairly sure Chantal has previously stated that she needs to have a meal before bed so she has enough to get through to the morning. Just one of her roughly 6 daily meals, you know? A growing girl needs her nutrients, lest she starve over the course of one night and, heaven forbid, actually feels hunger instead of the usual need to sate her ever worsening addiction to carbs and grease.
