The first Hack/Slash comic was in Dec 2014. Star Vs premiered in March 2015.

Even if you count the sneakpeek on the Disney channel, that's still Jan 2015. So how Slash can be based on the show's main character Star (middle row, right) is beyond me.

So I get back after work and find this thread just fucking exploded why I was gone. Pity I missed the good stuff, really, but thems the breaks. Also, his bullshit amalgam characters (which have so many awesome characters as 'inspiration') also have two other inspirations he managed to leave out; Hack/Slash from Reboot, Megabytes moron henchmen? The only original things about them is the characters he ripped off to make them. That also doesn't explain him using Ben 10, Chowder and obviously fucking Kirby. Fun fact: if we're going off Kirby's abilities based on what he's wearing a backwards hat means he has a yo-yo, not a firearm. Moot, naturally, since the pink puffball shouldn't even talk to begin with.
