Probably the funniest and most entertaining part of all this is that the entire shebang with Ellis is her own doing.
She's the one that ditched the reliable sped audience CA had for the sake of pursuing her bizarre political ideology. She and her associates were easily the most toxic part of Channel Awesome, and we know from multiple sources now that it was Lindsay's autistic followers (Dan Olson, ToddInTheShadows, and Kyle Kallgren) that brought the front line of the Culture War to Channel Awesome, because they were all IRL friends of Zoe Quinn and they demanded the entire website (which had no dog in this fight) condemn GG to support her.
The lot of them
drove a massive ideological rift straight down the center of the site, were a big part of the site's increasing politicization (which resulted in many channels hemorrhaging viewers), produced barely any content, and constantly attacked the site's userbase for not showing absolute
fucking supplication to their party line. It was such a problem in the case of Dan Olson that Mike Michaud fired his ass. Hell, Ellis' own #ChangeTheChannel campaign was a fucking cancellation attempt for all intents and purposes. And that's not even talking about shit we know now, like how Ellis and her buddies knew JewWario was a sex pest, but said nothing on the matter until it was fucking convenient.
She actively fostered a community with most toxic, "give-us-what-we-want-or-you-are-the-enemy" mindset imaginable, utilized the most aggressive speds from said community as her personal hatchet-men to push the agenda she wanted (so her own hands could stay clean), actively went out of her way to use that community to push a political agenda and to push for more power for herself, and that very community swam right around and claimed her scalp for themselves the second it was convenient.
It's fucking
