I don't know anything about Cumia. If not for WATP, I'd never have even heard of Opie and Anthony.

Yes and No. Maddox definitely is an Opie type, but as far as Dax goes, he's kind of inherited bad traits from all 3 of the O&A hosts at this point. Sadly, that does not include any of Jim or Nana's comedic chops.

I agree if we are talking about today Norton or stand-up Norton in general, but I would be lying if I said I didn't find him funny between '08 and '11 on O&A. Who knows though, maybe I'm looking back on it with rose tinted glasses. My opinion of ol Jimmy went really sour after he revealed himself to being a real backstabbing piece of shit and of course the failure of the Chip Chipperson cartoon.

He was good during the golden days of OnA, but I think that was due to OnA being a solid platform for good comedians like the late Patrice O'Neal, Louis CK, and Bill Burr.

Comedy these days has to fit within two buckets: social justice-friendly comedy that just makes awful jokes at white people’s expense or shit tier misanthropic comedy where your comedy is how much of a dirtbag you are. Your jokes have to be entirely at your expense or at social justice approved targets. This is where Jim Norton likes to crawl into.
