TikTok

Watching autists try and process tik tok lunacy really gives you a window into their minds. It's like they finally figured out how the world works, and now they're out to own all of these socially maladjusted people they found on Tik tok. Kinda feel bad for them ngl.

How the absolute fuck did any of these troglodytes make it to adulthood? In what world were they never explained what a joke was, either by peers or parents? Why is it so hard for parents to say "People do absurd things like that because they think it's funny and many people also think it's funny. You don't have to think it's funny, but that is why they made the video."

Jesus wept.

I remember when this fucking dork got destroyed by Joe Rogan lmao. Pornography and sex addictions are definitely real, what the fuck is this guy talking about? Jerking off to excessive amounts of porn is basically training your brain to get turned on by specific stimuli, and it can lead to erectile dysfunction, and various other difficulties "performing," and it's possible to get addicted to sex, even if Yahoo says it's not. I hate this smarmy cunt so goddamn much, just the sight of his face makes me want to commit Minecraft
Joe Rogan really tore that guy to pieces in ways that you really wouldn't imagine. There was a lot more going on in their interaction than what the average viewer could comprehend. Alex Sharts wouldn't last a second in the ring against Joe Rogan, it's just too bad that we won't get the epic showdown we deserve because of the terrible situation with Joe Rogan. What a way to go.

Apparently all these people are 35 (from the hashtag I found them in). Why do they look older than that? Am I being tricked?

[/SPOILER]
And this was #millennial

I've never heard either of those two songs and the first thing that came to my head was The Hollies' song. I guess that makes me a boomer.

I don't understand how some people I know can literally watch tiktoks for hours on end. How.

I've brought up my disinterest in the platform to acquaintances I know and they're all like "you just need to watch more, it's a really good app." Nah thanks, I'm fine not watching people do milquetoast "reactions" to better material or be blatant thirst-traps.

(To be fair, there are a few people who seem to make funny, original content. But why would I want to wade through all the drek for that)

This belongs here if it hasn't already been posted.

Some sort of psychology bullshit I imagine, I normally end up scrolling for ages on the tiktok equivalents on other platforms.
I don't even like the stuff half the time, it's just me yelling at whatever dumbass is on my screen about how much i hate them.

It's variable-schedule operant conditioning; the single most effective way to "program" a behavior (such as scrolling) in an animal.
If a rat presses a lever and gets a treat every time, she'll only press the lever when she's hungry, but if you set it so the lever only occasionally spits out treats then she'll sit there all day like an old lady at a slot machine.
