What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

A lot of books released under his name aren't actually illustrated by him. His name is just a brand title basically. More recent ones actually have Japanese artists contributing like this recent-ish line of books.

If you check the inside cover you can usually find the "art director" or "contributing illustrators" but he does actually draw them sometimes. Hart has always been a cartoonist and his actual style looks like this.

Which is why I'm aware that he almost certainly didn't shit out the above horror. He just hired them to shit it out for him. He himself isn't that great so I wonder now if he hired them to make himself look good. Which it doesn't from a professional standpoint, but who knows.

His own art isn't that good either. The cat has wonky eyes and the characters are way too wooden/stiff, the cat especially. It's easily fixed by not having the legs together stiffly in the same pose. If a front paw was raised (even just slightly) and the back legs posed apart it'd look a lot better even with the wonky eyes.

Bakugan generally has good monster designs but I'd like to question what the fuck they were going for with Tristar

Like WHAT THE FUCK IS IT?! Is it a mushroom man? the toy suggest he's a rabbit furfag.
Also he has breasts. The biggest breasts in that franchise. Is he a tranny?

This show's style always reminded me of that N64 game Rakugakids. I think Ian said they made it that simple so that it'd be easy for kids to draw the characters...though judging by the ratings I don't think anyone was watching never mind children.

Hell yes. They look like lowest bidder school literacy mascots. You can mentally trace the degree of how much these underpaid Koreans felt better than this.
This is what happens when the creator is a Steven Universe alumnus. You know, the show infamous for having no model sheets.

they are not just underpaid they are under-appreciated some Korean animators have the qualifications to make good stuff, but due to Twitter "animation experts" saying Korean = bad cartoons mentality start spreading like a plague good Korean animation got overshadowed or just been written off as "sweatshop animation"

Here is an example of good Korean animation: https://youtu.be/3YHcxBDs2bo

You know, this shit artstyle of composing characters from basic shapes is actually worse than the imaginary friends in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, where the all point is that kids dreamed them up.
Also neon pink should be outlawed.

Sounds like bullshit to me, I used to draw more "complicated" characters and I didn't mind if they didn't look nowhere near perfect. I thought they looked great, which was the important part. That's just a weak bullshit excuse to "justify" his shitty art style.

I typically adore Jack Kirby, but Black Racer really wasn’t one of his strongest designs. For fuck’s sake the guy’s supposed to be an aspect of Death.
Wait, are you telling me that there’s actually an entire SERIES of characters named after colors and sports involving locomotion that for some reason represent galactic/metaphysical forces, of which the Silver Surfer is only the best-known of the bunch?
