General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Zombie on a doomposting streak

Don't much care for it, but some think the guy talking sounds like Jaret Fajrianto .
Also the stream is still up and he even joins in to play at 3:10:00 so sounds like managers don't care either lol
Might generate some drama.
i think they are going to apply the VOMS rule and dont care and if someone get cheeky make a model for him like it happened with Tomoshika brother

Watame just had her little Tsunomaki morning bit on Japo TV. Wonder if it will be a one off or they going to let be a series of some sort.

That's some great SuperMario 64 game play, feels like she's speed run the game before. Heavy hit of nostalgia with that game. Hearing that camera changing sound brings back memories of having to fight it almost as much as enemies.

YouTube blessed me with this in my recommendations.

Oh SHIT.

She knows the memes. Fuck everything else, I have to watch this when it goes live now.
It's a shame that it would be a DMCA nightmare, because there is a legitimate mod that replaces Mr. X's theme with the song. Best playthrough I've ever had of that game. Spent half of it laughing while running away in terror.

You're gonna be writing a book given the amount of concurrent streams going on daily.

From a pure business standpoint, they don't gain anything from a VShoujo collab. They'd only be splitting monetized views and superchats with another party that doesn't benefit the company bottom-line, and would only end up legitimizing another one of their "competition" in the EN sphere when Niji-EN is already looming in the horizon. Not to mention the fact that Cover mostly deals with the autism of Japanese sponsors and the cultural optics alone (whether we agree with it or not) of their talents associating with an outfit that Melody is associated with is another shit-show in the making that they'd have to navigate and we already know how risk-averse they can be.
OTOH, Hololive members are collabing with Nijisanjis or even independents all the time. Even the JP branch is collaborating with independents. So there doesn't seem to be any concern about "legitimizing competition". It would be a valid concern, and your logic makes sense, it just... doesn't seem to be applied, as shown by the amount of out-of-company collabs there already are. As for the other concern, well, that seems more relevant given that Melody has been declared off limits, but as I understand, some of the independent JP streamers can be pretty borderline themselves, so if the same standard is applied here, collabing with one of Melody's associates might in fact still be possible.

All fair points and actually does raise more questions about the fluidity of their collab policies. Might even be arbitrary to a certain point where at certain levels, it's up to their primary managers (ENMa, etc) to ok certain collabs outside of the Holo brand. I do wonder with EN being relatively new if they're being a little more cautious in that area as the western vtubing scene isn't as mature and their policies isn't as well-tuned as those for the JP Holos.

mr x is going to suplex me and i could not be more thrilled

Her RE2 stream will probably be the first live stream I've watched in a while.

Yeah, it's not showing up on her channel but it is showing up in my subscriptions feed. Strange, usually it's the opposite.
Upcoming streams usually only show up in the subscriber feed and not directly on the channel itself for me.

She also doesn't seem to have pre-chat enabled for the stream.

no idea, I'm trying to remember if there was something spicy there, but cant really think of anything.

Polka brought up something in her chatting stream when discussing VShojo that makes me think that collabs with Cover and Niji are more likely than we might think - namely that Nyanners and co mainly stream on Twitch whereas all the Japanese groups stick to Youtube. That would indicate, from Cover/Niji's perspective anyway, there's not much to be lost from a collab since they have different audiences.

Suisei and Subaru pretty much shill with Niji in a constant basis, but Polka said that the fact that they are in other platform and cough other issues cough melody cough dont let them collab with Vshoujo, Holos can mention them (except Melody i like this disclaimer) but thats it

From what I can gather, Capcom has issue with people streaming the ending cutscene and song. Fubuki and Luna also got hit it seems, so Ina took it down preemptively. Maybe she will mute that part or cut it out so she can unprivate it.
