Science Man’s skin ‘peeled off’ in rare reaction to Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine - Safe and Effective

A Virginia man suffered a rare reaction to a COVID-19 vaccine that caused a painful rash to spread across his entire body and skin to peel off, doctors said.

Richard Terrell, 74, of Goochland began suffering strange symptoms four days after receiving the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, news station WRIC reported.

“I began to feel a little discomfort in my armpit and then a few days later I began to get an itchy rash, and then after that I began to swell and my skin turned red,” Terrell told the outlet.

But soon the rash covered his entire body, Terrell said.

“It all just happened so fast. My skin peeled off,” Terrell told the outlet.

“It was stinging, burning and itching. Whenever I bent my arms or legs, like the inside of my knee, it was very painful where the skin was swollen and was rubbing against itself,” he continued.

He went to the emergency room at the hospital, where doctors determined that he had experienced an adverse reaction to the vaccine, WRIC reported.

“We ruled out all the viral infections, we ruled out COVID-19 itself, we made sure that his kidneys and liver was okay, and finally we came to the conclusion that it was the vaccine that he had received that was the cause,” Dr. Fnu Nutan told the outlet.

She said that the medical episode could have been life-threatening if left untreated.

“Skin is the largest organ in the body, and when it gets inflamed like his was, you can lose a lot of fluids and electrolytes,” Nutan told the outlet.

Still, Nutan emphasized that such reactions are extremely rare.

“If you look at the risk for adverse reaction for the vaccine it’s really, really low,” she said. “We haven’t seen a great concern at all. I am a big proponent of the vaccine.”

Because I said something that didn't immediately agree with mainstream news, I think? I didn't bother asking. Questioning establishment is being seen less and less like healthy skepticism/the consequences of having been alive in the 21st century and more and more like supporting dangerous alternative candidates.

Oh! I thought you were quoting the story. What a fuckin shit show that must be to have someone you know use "Trumpism" unironically.

Okay retard.
Whose the retard here?

The vaccine scenario is similar to this. You pull the lever (give people vaccines) and you save way more lives. However, in the process, there's a very small chance things may go wrong (adverse reactions).

How is pulling the lever not more ethical in that situation?

Except you are throwing the switch to turn the train to you, also you ain't saving shit there are already people catching the shit after getting the vaccine.

So yeah, you're the fucking retard.

How so? Statistically I have a higher risk of having severe covid than a severe reaction to the vaccine.
catching the shit after getting the vaccine.
You don't know how vaccines work then. You can still contract COVID, but the risk of you falling ill is extremely less, and dying even more so.

Well, to be all ack-ack-ackshually about it, you KNOW who dies with the throw of the switch because the path of the trolley is 100% predictable. Kill 1 or Kill 5 are the only outcomes.

You can't say who will or will not die with 100% certainty when it comes to medicine and disease because diseases and treatments don't follow certain pre-determined paths.

So, you don't have a "throw the switch to decide if 1 dies or 5 die" it's more like "Throw it and now 1 hypothetical death happens instead of 5 hypothetical deaths" which means it's not so cut and dry as a logic problem anymore..

And that's where I pick my fights, when you weight my ACTUAL TANGIBLE life quality against the HYPOTHETICAL quality of others but treat the hypothetical as certain.

But do you know how it tastes?

No, but they sound like you.

Actually there were studies and research done on the vaccine that proved its efficacy (up to 95%). I know you rightards aren't the sharpest, but it's simple math. 95% is pretty damn good

Studies done by the same people selling you the shit, of course it's 95% effective in those studies.

Must of heard me ramming your mom last night then.

So you're a science denier :story: actually I don't care if people like you don't get vaccinated best case covid kills you and takes your retard genes out of the pool

I'm not even talking about vaccine efficacy. I mean as in I'm trusting my own immune system and so far have been proven right..... the chance of saving other lives isn't worth it to me to get in line, I'm fine as-is. Treating me like I'm DIRECTLY risking someone else's life is the issue, you can't prove that, you can only speak in hypotheticals, so trying to bind my by law to do certain things is off the table as a violation of rights, because you can't PROVE that I'm directly harming anyone, and that's what the law requires.

When working GL adjusting - I had a claim where this nigga put a certain deodorant on his ballsack, dick, and taint for a date. Why? I have no idea. But that nigga had a bad reaction to it and it caused his schlong to look like one of those fucking purple pool-balls except oozing shit everywhere in photos he sent me. He was like "How many times does this happen? I bet you get claims all the time for this". but it was like, the only one I know of - and he had to get to medical and I don't think his weiner ever recovered fully.

So, you know, just some food for thought.

At this point I'm all for supporting dangerous alternative candidates. Shame there aren't any.

Partisan politics are one helluva drug.

I find that psychopathic, but you do you. I took mine even though I'm healthy because I have empathy for others who have lost family members and such.
You can either play the "I'm an empathetic person trying to save lives" card or the "I don't give a shit if you die you sub-human" card. You can't play both.
