"Restrictions to the ballot box"? We already have those, regardless of the state-- they're called called "minimum voting age", "deadlines", and "not double-voting".
The issue is never that anybody has a distaste for restrictions to the ballot box-- it's that they have a distaste for restrictions that notably harm their interests.
For the MLB, in particular, it's easy to say "I oppose X", make an arbitrary relocation of one of their events, and receive the good press for it (since any bad press will come from "discredited" news media and others).

The best thing about GA's actions here is watching the MSM and Politicians outright lie about the laws and what they do. I cannot help but wonder how long they can outrun the truth since states are now standing up and saying, "That's a big no."
