I think it's the subject matter along with the lack of mods. Gay shit usually makes people REEEEEEE. Null featured a bunch of girlcow threads on Women's day and there weren't many issues that I noticed.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out among certain members of the “beauty community,” mainly Tati and Jeffree Starr. It will also be amusing to see how the drama channels respond. Tati and the majority of makeup youtubers and the drama channels that cover that community have been kissing James’ ass for a while now, painting him as a poor victim of malicious liars.

Yes, Tati originally called him out for being a pedophilic piece of shit who tried to “turn” straight men, however she later tried to backtrack on what she said and blamed Jeffree and others for “feeding her lies” when she likely knew or had a suspicion that James was going after minors for a long, long fucking time. Imo that makes her pretty fucking scummy.

Exactly. The only thing different in this situation is faghag fangirls and gay teens themselves going "squeee i wish he did that to meeee!"

Had James sent his nudes to a teenaged girl of the same age, you'd see a full google doc on this and James would (rightfully) be crucified for what he'd done. There's a good chance that he'll at least be able to sweep what he did under the rug and recline in his mansion in LA or some shit until the fire dies down.

Real talk, this is why I think he's been getting away with this for so long.

It's not gay privilege, it's the fact that during the last drama he was involved in it was revealed that the main reason all of it was started because James was starting to infringe on Tati's, and Jeffree's profits, and because Shane thought he was getting "too egotistical".

When all that came out, and then everyone subsequently changing their stories, shifting the blame on one another, and the sudden implosion of Shane's career, it just made James seem like an innocent victim of horrific lies spread by envious, greedy, and backstabbing douchebags looking to protect their own careers, and pocketbooks. The fact that he truly was a disgusting sexpest got disregarded as false because it looked like that was something that was just made up to slander him because was getting too popular, and making too much money despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Simply put, if the last drama hadn't been started and handled so poorly by seemingly everyone, but James, I think he'd be facing a lot more scrutiny right now.

I think it's less to do with that and more to do with the fact that Tati and Jeff are notorious attention whores and shit stirrers. That's why nobody believed it the first time. As I already mentioned earlier it took Tati for people to even believe Gage Gomez's claims, and even when they did, people still let Tati's drama queen demeanour overpower them.
