While the doubling down in her 'apology' did not do her any favors, I think the whole ditching her twitter account temporarily will undo most of the damage since people will forget. No. She'll slink back in a few weeks after the drama has died down and be more or less where she was. However, she's taken a big step towards being canceled for real and if she doesn't watch her drunken mouth and toe the now even-thinner line perfectly she'll be fucked. I think the thing about Ellis is that she really was one of the founding mothers of YouTube leftism so it's hard to take her down completely.
