Steve1989MREInfo / Steve1989 / Steve Thomas - that guy that eats old MREs

I'm glad I'm not the only one concerned, I came here just to point out it's been 4 months since his last upload, and to ask if anyone knows anything, if he's okay, etc.

Working 60 hours a week is plausible, he may have been in a case like mine where COVID kiboshed alot of my usual work and now that it's coming back, he's getting all he can. Still, it would be sad if he's just tired of MREs. Or the hassle of filming him eating MREs.
The other thing is the coof ravaged MRE suppliers, sure Steve's MREs (That he makes videos on) often are "vintage" but even then a lot of suppliers do both and with the hit on logistics too, it could be hard for Steve to get "new" and/or rare MREs to review.

Source with a big ol grain of salt because i dont actually know of he runs ads. And i don't actually think he would quit his job for efame. Hes too genuine.
Graphtreon indicates he isn't doing much worse despite not posting for 4 months.

As for his big project? Bro just bought a commercial freeze drier. It's probably related to that.

I agree. Also his most recent videos featured him actually using it and even designing MREs. The U.S. military is completely fucking retarded if they don't try to snatch this guy up to design actual, real MREs. But if they didn't, maybe someone else did, for some kind of survival rations startup.

If this guy started selling shit you could put in your bugout bag I'd buy that shit up immediately.

I think the reason I don't worry about Steve's long absences is that it feels like he's out there eating rations and just hasn't invited us along.

Kind of like Primitive Technology; rare but high quality dispatches from someone's interesting hobby.
I think people are just too used to internet "content creators" not having much of a life outside of their media posting. Compounded with the fact that Steve has a personality that makes people relate to him, even rather jaded ones.

I think one thing that makes his videos so good is his descriptions of the food.

"It's very savory, despite being 28 years old."
"That's got a rich cocoa flavor to it."
"Not too bitter, lightly acidic."

Meanwhile he's eating something that looks worse than something out of a can, and now I want some.

That's such a large part of what makes him so good, he often comes off as so appreciative to have something to eat even if it's unfamiliar to him. He sure as hell isn't a picky eater.
