I'll admit that at first the age difference in Spring's and Adam's relationship wasn't that much of a shock to me because where I live, the age of consent is 16. It was still a bit unsettling, but I didn't get really disturbed until I learned about Spring's fondness for having their "main" partner be a 14-16 year old when he's only getting older (he does have other partners like Catherine who are legal but they seem to be periphery compared to Adam). My guess is that he's fond of that age range because they're still relatively naive and easy to manipulate (but not pre-pubescent) and because he's not emotionally mature himself. A small run-down of the things that nerdeer is vaguing about: "nonny" is slang for the anonymous message senders; call-out culture is making posts about certain users and spreading (either true or false, but in Grease's case: true) claims about them; and, the XKIT guy was a victim of said call-out culture. Someone, somewhere, decided that the XKIT guy was a sexual predator (completely unfounded with zero evidence), and tumblr users ran him off of the site based on these false claims. He reportedly almost/did have a mental breakdown due to the overwhelming abuse. People only noticed when XKIT (a free Chrome/Firefox browser extension for tumblr that includes a variety of tools to streamline the dashboard) began breaking, because XKIT guy was not around to fix the bugs caused by tumblr's site updates.
