I was hoping that Isayama would go for some sort of nuclear weapons metaphor to explain Eren's reasoning for the whole rumbling.
My headcanon was was Eren somehow realized that there's something about Eldians having titan powers that will make it impossible for everyone to ever be at peace. Non-Eldians will always be suspicious, because having the ability to just suddenly transform in to monsters is just too powerful, so Eren's solution would be to kill all non-Eldians and repopulate the world with Eldians. Thus, if everyone has the power to transform, then nobody would be at a disadvantage. Basically, peace through mutually assured destruction.
