Coups and insurrections require at least parts of the government apparatus, otherwise they are just riots which are good for causing damage but not so good at overthrowing governments.

I do think that more could have been done pre Nov 3 however. I'm not a citizen of the united states, but if I was I would be tempted to at the very least cheer lead efforts by the GOP (state and federal) to clean elections up. So if I lived in Georgia state I would be writing a short letter to senators and house members who voted for the election reform bill. It may be not be much, but the right has to learn how to engage in this behaviour if they want to win elections in the future.

Got catcalled a lot as a tween/young teen (remember, this was the late 70's/early 80's) and there was a distinct difference in the Mexican vs. black methodologies. The mexicans would hoot and holler a bunch of "ayyy baybeee" and "meh-tall-EEE-cah!" at me (because of my Metallica shirt) but the blacks would be all smooth and sheeit: "Hey sugar, you lookin' fiiiine today!" (We also had a local gentleman called "The Fly," a pimp daddy who drove a white Caddy with custom painted flies on the hood and was considered more of a locally flavored character than a criminal, not to mention that blaxploitation was at its peak so we didn't see them as threatening per se).

For the longest time I hated the mexicans more than the blacks because of that, and also because my hometown started becoming overrun with latinos. All the old shops and restaurants are now bodegas and taco joints. My graduating class in high school was the last one where the whites were the majority, and metal detectors started being used for home games.

As time passed and I moved to my current city, my experience has done a 180; the blacks are the aggressive ones whereas the mexicans are polite. Although I'd prefer not to live in any area that's not majority white, I'd take the mexicans over blacks any day of the week.

It is really weird how Mexicans are better at integrating themselves in American society than blacks. Lack of a history full of tensions probably has something to do with that, but they do get the same pandering and victimizing by democrats. A lot can actually look white, so that's also a likely factor. Crime rate is sometimes almost on black levels but those are the latino/hispanic subgroup as a whole.
