Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

"No amendment to the constitution is absolute" is dictator talk.
OK, no joke, how is this not a violation of his oath of office? He swore to uphold the constitution and now is literally saying that some of it doesn't count.

And yes you can shout fire in a theater you feckless moron, as 30 seconds of research would tell you about Brandenburg vs Ohio from nineteen sixty fucking nine.

He can say whatever he wants, the mere fact that his advisors are trying to do this crap through executive order is basically proof that they know it will go nowhere. Legislation's not happening with the Senate as it is now, and the filibuster removal is probably not happening either. So Biden is just continuing to make himself look like a moron with this shit. Too many people understand the need to own supposed "assault weapons" after the riots last summer too, further gun control at the federal level is dead in the water.

Furthermore, the one gun control proposal that actually got through during the previous administration has already been ruled unconstitutional by the federal appeals court in Ohio. https://thefederalist.com/2021/03/2...es-trumps-bump-stock-ban-is-unconstitutional/ Further attempts on the Dem's part to push gun control could easily backfire and get more laws struck down.

The point is to do as much damage as fast as possible and payout / deal with the fallout later.

Executive orders have to piggyback off of existing laws, IIRC. So there is a practical limit to how much damage they can do. I don't expect Biden to achieve much in this area and what little he may accomplish will probably be struck down by the courts.

In almost all major school shooting cases, the FBI was warned. They knew about Lanza and Cruz but did nothing about them until they carried out their shootings and then crocodile tears flowed. It's going to be the same thing with red flag laws, they will do nothing unless it's a political enemy. For example, Patrick Tomlinson is a prime candidate for a red flag law because he talks about his anger issues, brandishes his guns on twitter, and talks extensively about seriously injuring people to the point where twitter banned him twice. He's also a democrat shill so he's gonna be safe from his guns being taken away. His counterpart on the right would lose all of his weapons and possibly face charges.

Why are they calling this a mass shooting when odds are this is another case of Black on white crime.

In case you hadn't read it, his family is already saying playing foosball made him crazy in the head. The doc and his wife (RIP grandkids) were truly some stand up people. Absolutely tragic.

You know, no parent worth the name is ever going to go out and condemn their child. But trying to excuse their son's crimes on football is pathetic.
