AoT is vaguely interesting and does have some layers to it...but all those layers are gone now. It's an interesting reveal but ASOIAF has way more depth to it. AoT has about the same level of depth as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. They both are actually similar. Boy lives in world he doesn't understand. Boy experiences horrific event. Boy joins military. Boy crusades to be best military boy because 'different' and slowly learns things are not as they seem. Boy decides his way is the best way. Deeper plot surrounding world which involves Boy is revealed. Boy does his best to fight for 'his' future with help of comrades.

I guess AoT has thrown in an extra twist at the end which would be akin to Edward wanting to remove all Alchemy from the world. So Deep.
