other than it being used in so many distros that are not server oriented why is it an issue? (disregarding "philosophy" stuff that's theoretical rather than actually an issue in practice when so many modern shit doesn't do it anyways, though if it has relevance to a real case scenario do bring issues up)

still i spun devuan before on an x86-only netbook back in stretch era iirc, ran nicely alongside XP and i love xfce with the xubuntu theme/layout so yea ^^
