If it was a probation violation that actually involved a crime or even abusing his internet privileges, I think he'd be arrested by now.

Some process crime like missing a fee payment can probably be remedied by paying said fee, but this is just conjecture on my part.

After all, I'm not a lawyer and maybe there's something else that I'm missing.

He might live across 8 mile and therefore technically be in Ferndale, but that isn’t the “nice”, super gay area of Ferndale. There is a homeless encampment under the bridge at the 8mile and Woodward intersection. The state fairgrounds has a large bus stop with crackheads lurking. A guy got stabbed to death at the Sonoco gas station 1 mile south. It’s not an area I would walk around outside.

So, he might be paying Ferndale rent prices, but getting the Detroit experience.

At this point, I honestly believe that the rates of pedophilia among anime fans are significantly higher than the general population.

Considering chomos aren't treated well in prison, and considering he is a blabbermouth who probably even admitted what he was in for, I would make a guess even in prison they didn't view him as a "real" chomo. Meanwhile outside he's a registered sex offender with a record people would instantly judge him on, with severe restrictions on his activities.
