From what I read he was extremely unlucky in terms of timing, wasn't he? If the German offensive hadn't arrived, and been so successful, thus increasing the number of desertions, he would've almost certainly gotten his wish. It was only at this particular moment that Eisenhower couldn't afford any sort of leniency.

Usually I just go with pasta and store bought sauce. Not my top dish but easy and convenient. I'll usually add 4 oz of ground beef or so, too.

For hot sauce, lately I have been using Cholula Sweet Habanero. Not hot for a habanero sauce but has a great flavor and flavor is more important than heat in my opinion. Too many hot sauces are just capsicum extract and that's it, I like a sauce with real peppers
