What's the Most Autistic Food? - Autfood for Autfags

a few years ago I babysat for a kid who exclusively ate peanut butter & toast, craisins, and fruit punch flavored cheese. honestly I should have called child protective services

Lots of autistic people are picky eaters apparently because they're sensitive to strong tastes, smells, or textures. I knew someone who was very autistic and would freak the fuck out if people wanted to eat anything that wasn't bland, unhealthy food like chicken nuggets, boxed macaroni and cheese, or those smiley potatoes. They also would get nauseous if someone ate fruit in their presence.

Most of the cereal that millennials have nostalgia for look pretty autistic.

Not only that but most cereal has unreal awful texture that is hell on the mouth, Captain Crunch is an example of a geometric shape and consistency that has no business being combined. Cutting up your mouth to remember the "good 'ol days".

Maybe it's the tism, but I love these tiny pies. They're 50 cents at the grocery store and they're damn delicious. They're so cute and perfect single serving after dinner or as a snack.
I know I could stop being a sped and just buy or bake my own pie and eat it in slices, but they're just so cute.

Guess we're both tards because I love them too. Personally I prefer the peach one.

Have one of those fuckers with a nice medium roast coffee during a study break, peak comfiness imo

autistic food?

Either Potato, macaroni, and/or cheese or some combination thereof and may or may not include butter.

must be properly seasoned with salt

and i’ll fucking drunk-fight anyone who argues with me just because I don’t have time to read 20+ pages before my reply at the moment.

i’ll feel different tomorrow about the drunk-fighting and cook you breakfast if you forgive me in advance.

Awwww the little pies.

I forgot those existed.

Those aren’t spergy. They are some kind of SE USA comfort food that has spread like cancer.

Back in the day, they used to be $0.25 and even more delicious and made with trans-fats.

I've never seen those but they sound gross. Of course they use jack cheese. A cheese with almost no flavor.

Maybe the honey one might be nice.

Pretty much this. Every clinically-diagnosed autist will have different tastes and peculiarities, of course, and I've noticed they often go through phases where they'll fixated exclusively on one type of food for weeks or even months, before dropping that food entirely. But yeah, bland and cheap/familiar food tends to be the focus:

Mac and cheese, but only Kraft, no fancy organic boxed or homemade.
Burgers, but only plain, no condiments, and cooked past well-done.
Ham egg and cheese sandwiches, but nothing extra, and preferably from Dunkin Donuts or McDonald's.
Pizza with only one topic, from cheapo Greek places where the dough tastes like chewy Wonderbread.
Plain bagel with one specific type of cream cheese.
Chicken nuggets w/o sauce.
Chef Boyardee.
Oreo cookies and/or Chips Ahoy, Pepperidge Farms is too fancy.
Mashed potatoes, plain, no gravy.
That one Chinese takeout lunch they've tried.
Pancakes and/or French Toast, plain, possibly with Aunt Jemima syrup (no maple).
That said, I think ultimately, any food could qualify as an autistic food, if the person fixates on it hard enough.
