The people predicting no rioting are dumb. If you give into tantrums, you end up with a kid that throws tantrums all the fucking time because you rewarded the behavior. There is literally no difference in the psychology of woke people and children when it comes to this. I know a few places are going to riot tonight, but the threat of rioting is more ongoing because they got their way. That is what makes this different than 1992. They believe they have found the answer to problematic people: burn things and loudly demand more and more. Its either going to go their way eventually, and we are all fucked, or there will be a severe backlash, and all of them will be fucked. I have no idea what will happen ultimately.
I also know that its going to get worse because its already happened with the exact same dynamics at evergreen college. There were racism based protests and the administration always did whatever protesters wanted, and it escalated steadily until it was madness. They managed to get the campus security office closed permanently so no security or police existed on campus, they were replaced by mobs with bats ("community policing"). They got professors fired for wrong think, even though it meant having to pay large legal settlements for broken contracts. This happened even before trump was elected, and it is still going until the place goes bankrupt from lack of students. They're almost there right now,. Now very few people want to go to school there. Few people want to teach there. Portland is in a similar state, they haven't quite driven the police out yet, but they're trying. When they threatened the mayor's condo he just moved somewhere else, the apple store got destroyed so it got turned into a pro-BLM gallery and they burned that down last week.
