The House passed a bill today to make DC a state.

Something that is DOA on the Senate and iirc they needed 2/3rds of the house and senate to make DC an official state.

I wonder if it was worth it for all those cuckservatives to betray Trump.
Almost every bill they are passing in the house is DOA in the senate.

The moderate democrat senators will not vote for this stuff. It would be the end of them. Especially with no orange man bad to unite behind.

Hell the 15 minimum wage vote alone was a disaster in the senate losing 58 - 42.

Wow guys, there sure are a bunch of riots, right now. This thread is moving at BLAZING fuckin' speeds. Like a whole new George Floyd thread here, 20 pages a minute type shit. WOOOOOAH!
Null only did this shit to kill that thread.

I feel cheated. Especially since the political bread circuses moved shit around as if it were a Hollywood action blockbuster, and poof, nothing. Not an iota of noise.

Why do I feel like this will only end in disaster?

That means nothing. They can invoke the Nuclear Option if they consider a certain bill the hill to die on.
They can, but I think Biden is too much of a faggot to condone it, especially after the changes to Supreme Court appointee rules blew up in their faces.

They don't want to risk an outright civil war, which is what happens if they disenfranchise Republicans en-masse and make it impossible for them to regain a majority. And they don't want this turned around on them should the Republicans get the majority.

Nah. "It's Okay When We Do It" is the DNC's unspoken First Commandment. They already use the Consitution as toilet paper, why would procedure or foregoing short-term political gains stop them? Democrats never cuck themselves like Republicans do.

In this case, we can still rest easy given that Manchin and Sinema are on record for not wanting to kill the filibuster.

The Democrats had a filibuster proof majority in 2008, with a full 60 seats, and managed to do fuck-all. I'm not going to lose any sleep over that, but what I am pissed over is how much horseshit they're trying to pass via 'reconciliation' that has nothing to do with budget shit.
