Whiteness has been implicated in events on both sides of the Atlantic, including Brexit; mass shootings in Norway, New Zealand and the US; the George Floyd and Breonna Taylor killings; and the 6 January insurrection at the US Capitol. Alongside these real-world incidents, a bumper crop of scholarship, journalism, art and literature – by Coates, Nell Irvin Painter, Jordan Peele, Eric Foner, Ava DuVernay, Adam Serwer, Barbara and Karen Fields, Kevin Young, David Olusoga, Nikole Hannah-Jones, Colson Whitehead and Claudia Rankine, among many others – has spurred the most significant reconsideration of racial whiteness in 50 years.
It basically says 'whiteness' was developed as distinct from Christians attacking Muslims or whatever, as a concept to justify slavery, etc.
While this might be true, it's monumentally dishonest, in that if you read any account of any part of history that doesn't involve white people winning, you'll find something similar. From Wikipedia:

In 1891, Abdul Hamid created the Hamidiye regiments from Kurdish tribes, allowing them to act with impunity against Armenians.[36][33] From 1895 to 1896 the empire saw widespread massacres; at least 100,000 Armenians were killed[37][38] by Ottoman soldiers, crowds incited to violence, and Kurdish tribes.[39] Many Armenian villages were forcibly converted to Islam.[27] The Ottoman state bore ultimate responsibility for the killings,[40] whose purpose was violently restoring the previous social order in which Christians would unquestionably accept Muslim supremacy,[41][42] and forcing Armenians to emigrate, thereby decreasing their numbers.
Every race on the planet is suspicious in some way about other races. Asians think blacks are violent and aggressive, Muslims think whites are debauched and depraved degenerates, and so on. The enslavement of sub-Saharan Africans by Arabs, is based on racial superiority. It's built-in that you think other races are inferior. The Chinese are busy wiping out their Muslims because they like their race and
know that it is superior to all other races, including whites, Muslims, etc.
As with any other race whites are naturally suspicious of other races and as with Muslims developing concepts to exterminate Jews and Christians in their religion, so to whites said 'actually niggers are literally an inferior breed of human'. The only difference now is that whereas Muslims are told regularly that Jews are pure evil who must be killed, the Chinese are taught China is better than everywhere else, etc., there are now a bunch of whites who hate their own race and think other races are better, which seems to be the actual unique fact about 'whiteness', that it has somehow consciously decided to destroy itself, something that no other race ever did (extinct races in the past have all been the victim of neighbouring races successfully fulfilling their desire to eradicate them).
