Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

At best they perhaps "think" they've cleaned up nicely, but are so paranoid they dont want to risk it.

At worst they were so distracted and sure this would never be brought up again, that they were completely unprepared in the time allotted to respond.

More likely it's just cheaper for them to spend some of that money on hired goons and attack the audit site directly, rather than waste a whole million on a temporary freeze. This is far from over.

Impeaching Bidet wouldn't automatically make Crazy Nancy the VP. First they would have to get her nomination through Congress after they inaugurate Kacklin' Kween Kommie, but at that point the Dems would have lost their Senate tiebreaker and they might want to choose someone else anyway.

Impeach him anyways. Kamala and Pelosi aren't going to be more effectual. Their brand is built around saying platitudes and doing nothing with them, just as much as Joe.

Why pay the judge 1 mil when they can pay some lawyers to do other lawsuits? Or just have the media arm attack the credibility of the audit like Rachel Maddow is with suggesting they're all Qanon supporting lunatics wanting to invent evidence.

It's also worth keeping in mind that Dems believe their own bullshit. Many of them genuinely don't believe there was fraud and see these auditing efforts as a fraud in itself.

Alternatively, it's because no one outside of Arizona wants to touch it. My longstanding hypothesis is that it wasn't one giant organized effort but instead each state taking cues off each other and acting independently out of pure TDS. If they were working together it would have been a lot less obvious, a lot tidier, and they'd have taken the senate and house with them. After the fact, they can't just message eachother and ask "So what did you do" without leaving a massive paper trail to be found.


So, as that stands, no one can know how legit any other states results were so each has to defend their own in isolation.

To address the likeliest rebuttal "Why don't they meet in person then?". Well, since when was the last time you saw one of the federal level politicians actually -interact- with one of those lowly stateside ones? Do you think someone like Pelosi is going to lower herself to the level of a state elections official to politely ask them to inform her about what they did and when? Because that's what would be required. Anyone who did the actual fuckery HAS to be super paranoid about honey pots to get them to reveal it, so the only people who could get them to spill the beans have to be someone big with name recognition. And said big named person would never lower themselves to the act.

I think each state where the fraud is so fucking obvious saw that Trump was going to win and independently panicked. No collaboration, just raw blind panic from each major polling station and vote counting station.

It's why there's not really a conspiracy to unearth, beyond that Time article where they basically admit to cheating.

It also explains how shitty the Biden Presidency is at doing anything. This was as most a hypothetical test run to raise money and run out Kamala's kinks but suddenly being thrust into the spotlight was never really expected. The great standalone complex at play has everyone just running the ticker and doing it off the cuff.
