What a fool I am for thinking that Greer peaked with I Don't Get You. I should have known that it would only be a matter of time before he set his droopy gaze onto other celebrities; I also think it's only a matter of time before she either rejects or ghosts him enough to prompt a frivolous lawsuit. If she's lucky, he may even write a book detailing the totally true events of their misadventures.

I'm something of a musician myself, so I looked at this through the eyes of someone who knows a thing or two about songwriting. Obviously, Greer's attempts to paint the song as a message about loving yourself is bullshit. It's a song about, for, and obsessing over Yovanna. Just like before, he wrote this song with some wayward hope that it would land him a chance with someone so insurmountably out of his league. I don't even believe what he said about it being a "Thank you" to her, because he ends the fucking thing with a date proposal. It would be one thing to shill the song for what it is, but he can't do anything without playing the victimized warrior while also making himself out to be this upstanding man. He's neither. At first I could sympathize with his condition, but it's intolerable when people use their disabilities as an out when they do deplorable shit.

It's nice to see that his lyrical ability hasn't changed- wouldn't want to tamper with diamonds, now. Comparing Yovanna to a Sauna AND an enchilada? Flawless. As a whole, the song is dogshit, but you already knew that if you're anyone reading this who isn't Greer. I will say this, though: the production isn't bad, and the first two words of the Chorus are catchy. It's a shame that he proceeds to drop the ball immediately by creating a droning, aimless melody from then to the next verse. The beat and instrumentation is uninspired and uninteresting to anyone who has ever listened to a radio before. Not much else to say.

My favorite part is the video, though. Holy SHIT do I love the video. It's so unaware that it's transcended to something far greater than Greer could ever purposefully make. I NEED to know how much he spent on this endeavor between the production, musicians, actress, video shoot, and editing. We must be talking some serious cash here, which I love because it means he truly, truly believes that this song was worth putting his all into. Got a good laugh when the subtitles at the end couldn't even understand his fucked-up speech, too.
