Head Start is one of LBJ's / the War on Poverty's biggest failures. All that money spent and they have never found any educational or social gains from kids enrolled. By all means, continue to dump money into learning that having good parents is the single biggest determinative factor in school success, maybe the only one. This is a nothing proposal.

Even with fake meat and bugs, there still would be mass starvation.
Environmentalists have suggested reducing or eliminating meat from everyone's diet, and if everyone did, a huge chunk of the population would die. In some studies, they figured out that if everyone went on vegetarian/vegan diets, these diets were not sustainable, and would wear out the land.

You'd think that with all the Malthusian predictions failing to pan out over and over again, people would just stop listening to anyone who preaches gloom and doom unless we go back to living in trees and foraging for grubs. But nope.
It's like, yeah, there are certainly areas where we can improve (more efficient land use, cutting down on waste, not jumping on the latest iPhone upgrade just because it has a slightly better camera than the old one), and I'm willing to have discussions about that. But anyone who jumps straight to living in pods and subsisting on bugs, I'm not going to bother because there's no point. Their mind is already made up that we're all doomed, and no amount of reason will get them out of that mindset.

Eh, I saw the actual response he gave to that 60 Minutes reporter rather than their edited version and he was giving real and meaningful replies about how their vaccination program worked, why they made the decisions they made and so forth. It wasn't generic soundbites, it sounded like he was properly involved in leading things. I don't think he's just another talking head who has the right connections and funding to be propped up as the latest electable puppet / grifter. My friend in Florida speaks very well of him also. I'm personally very interested to see how things go with him.
