'Full of pedos' is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but it is true that homosexuals in the late seventies and early eighties still found themselves included in the late remnants of the sixties' Free Sex Happy Club, which unavoidably attracted "child lovers". But acceptance of unbound love in general, and pedophilia in particular, declined steeply in the early eighties. When homosexuals finally caught up and shook off this faction, their acceptance in society quickly increased and before the 80s were over, many West-European countries at least had scrapped sodomy laws from the books.

I guess that especially gays who've been through all that must be more than a little bit annoyed about history repeating itself.
It was supposedly the lesbians (actual lesbians, not transbians) who pushed the movement to ditch the pedos. This was not popular with certain factions of the gay rights activists, but when your big names are people like Harvey Milk who liked underage ass and promoted Jim Jones, better optics were necessary to make legal progress. The genderist movement likes to ignore real lesbians and appropriate them where possible (Storme DeLarverie, anyone?) and today it's more likely NAMBLA would be invited to pride than a radfem group IMO.

Our fine lady trancheros are the natural end result of not only getting rid of the women but trying to prove that they are better and preferable to women for the straight men they actually crave.

I’ve read this 5 times and still don’t understand it. He’s policing trash ? And some trash isn’t good enough to make it into the Earthship? What?

But also, cops are undermining their projects? Projects like..... policing trash? It all makes sense now!

Policing is a term from the military. Policing (or police calling) cigarette butts, trash, brass after you're done shooting a range, etc. It can be used as a general term for cleaning something up, but in my experience it was most often used when you get a group dedicated to clearing a specific area of something undesirable.

I'm sure you were not the only person who was confused by that. It's funny to me that he still uses military terms in every day conversation 15 years later. That's shit lifers do. It's even funnier because the military was so traumatic, he hated his time in it, throw him a pity party for his service.
