I had started watching the WoW TIHYDP a few times before, and someone linked it here so I had it in the background for a moment, and something caught my ear while he was reviewing the controls of his goblin at the very start - what a fitting choice of race, supposedly random, might I add.

"If I press circle..."

It's a zero, Phil, you're on PC, you dunce...

His Returnal rant is just a cover for his lack of skill. He knows he's going to get destroyed on the first stage and never advance beyond it.

Phil's paper thin ego can't handle getting wrecked in games. He doesn't want another Ludwig embarrassment and he can't grind Returnal. It's dumped.
I hate to underestimate DSP's ability to face tank and luckbox everything, but I can see him never finishing this.

I've watched about 10 minutes of gameplay on Twitch, and not only do you restart a stage at the beginning without any collectibles/weapons upon death, but it looks like there is some RNG to it as well, so he can't just "Edge of Tomorrow" his way through it.

I expect the end of the first main stream to be really SALTY, especially if he doesn't even finish the first stage, because he'll end the stream making literally no progress if that happens.

Again, I've only watch like 10 minutes of this game so far and have no experience with Roguelike (I didn't even know that was a real term.)

That ape is literally everything DSP aspires to be.

○ Is debt free (unlike Phil)
○ Hair isn't receding
○ Has kids
○ Spends the majority of its life outside with friends & family
○ Reguarly gets that vitamin d
○ Has a good diet/isn't malnourished
○ People PAY to see him in his habitat, whilst Phil begs for money to wear jackets/glasses
○ Can actually defend himself in a fight
○ Bathes reguarly

Not quite since Phil got banned twice in 2017-2018 also. His third strike would’ve been the first DMCA ban from Supercuck last year if you’re counting those bans.
Phil got a DMCA ban on Twitch from SH? I feel like I would've remembered that. I know SH fucked up his Twitter, but that's really all I remember.

From my recollection his twitch suspensions have been this;

1.) raising money using bits (can't remember the year, but it was in April-ish I believe, 3-7 day suspension?)
2.) the original post, whatever the fuck that was about cause mr. "no information given"
3.) his latest twitch fuck up that got him departnered (which could've been anything at this point)

sorry for that being so awfully vague it's hard to not make it sound like shit when DSP never gives clear information every single time

Is he... Is he stimming so much during the pre-stream because he stills gets NERVOUS before being on camera? After 13 fucking years? Is that what gets him rocking like crazy? With anybody else, I would never think this, but it's Phil. He doesn't adjust to anything for shit.

Probably due to the fact he has to interact with humans other than his wife. He's almost perfect hermit material, having a complete distain for all other humans alive, but he needs the money and because he probably despised his job at the helicopter place, he absolutely refuses to go back to a regular 9-5. Not that he could, anyway, as he seems to have self-programmed into being completely useless at everything, it's a miracle he hasn't burned his entire house down from sticking a wad of aluminum foil into his microwave.

So, the ultra stimming at the beginning probably is a coping mechanism for having to start the routine he hates so much, as it somewhat gets easier for him if he's already in the middle of it or otherwise distracted by how 'broken' the game is. Unless something happens out of his control in which case it snaps right back to the stimming.

I hadn't realized it but your comparison with 'Edge of Tomorrow' is on point with how Roguelikes are ultimately playing the same repeat loop with progress measured by how much farther you got than last time. Binding of Issac, Enter the Gungeon, Dungeon of the Endless, effectively any game that has a massive loot pool and RNG in terms of what you actually get.

nah, it's gotta be a tic or something. This man turned off the camera and immediately just started rocking like a mfker. But then again, I showed this to my non DSP watcher friend and she said she rocks sometimes, so idk it may be to some extent normal? But he just...does it so fucking much.

His Twitch also got banned for a hot minute last July and October because of the SH stuff.

You’re right that Phil’s first Twitch ban was from calling his bits/tips goal a fundraiser. This was in Feb. 2018.

The second ban was from Phil insulting GalahadofGondor’s blue hair which was Phil’s fault since Galahad was partnered at the time I think. This was in Mar. 2018.

Third time was in July 2020 for a few days, and the fourth time was in October for about a day that same year. Both of these were from SH’s gay ops fuckery.

And now finally we’ve made it to Apr. 2020 where Twitch finally gets fed up with the constant fallout from Phil’s bad PR decisions, most likely in light of recently doxing one of his fans on top of not timing his YouTube uploads, that they banned him from the partnership program.

Phil’s been punished by Twitch about 5 times now over the years, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 6th incident happen sometime in the future due to how increasingly unhinged Phil’s behavior has been getting in recent months.

So many unnecessary rants about this game - all he had to say was "yeah not for me, I'll stream something else". Instead he's gotta act like it's his fucking responsibility to play this game only to dump it, crying "I'm not having fun, guys. I told told you how this was going to go, but EVERYONE said I had to play it. You asked for this."
I feel like Phil knows that it would be easier, but decides to do the bitchy thing because his audience hates it, and he hates them.

Totally not something Phil would get rankled by. /sneed
People PAY to see him in his habitat
They would do that with Phil too, if it meant watching him go about his day with honesty instead of listening to him lie about how busy his life is.
So, the ultra stimming at the beginning probably is a coping mechanism for having to start the routine he hates so much, as it somewhat gets easier for him if he's already in the middle of it or otherwise distracted by how 'broken' the game is. If that's the case, it would explain why his swaying and rocking has gotten worse over time, instead of better as he got accustomed to being on camera, as well as how relaxed he gets when it's over.

Also, the fact that when he thinks he's invisible at the end of a stream doesn't involve him letting loose with something to the effect of "God damn are those tippers are a bunch of suckers" says a lot about how little thought Phil gives to both they and his relationship with them. He's so entitled that it doesn't occur to him to even relish in it.

@Fill Bern El That was during a pre-stream, not when the stream was over. The clip posted earlier was post-stream, and The Incident was even before the pre-stream. No stimming whatsoever in either case, despite not having any reason to try keeping it under control.

I used to think his movement was him coping with his autism. It isn't, it's for coping with being the only form of public he ever gets anymore. The man has the worst case of social anxiety I've ever seen, and it's almost entirely because he's such an asshole that no one ever likes him.

What's funny is that that's basically what he looked like in the footage of The Incident. It's clearly unfiltered Phil, as real as it gets.

But it raises questions about his stimming, because he doesn't seem to need to do it except for during the pre-streams. Any other time he has been visible while thinking that he isn't, he has been perfectly still, in fact it's really jarring to see him suddenly become animated in that clip when he realizes that we can see him. It's such a difference, which, with anybody else, I wouldn't think much of, but with Phil it has me wondering how much of the swaying about and posing on stream is borderline acting.

Is he... Is he stimming so much during the pre-stream because he stills gets NERVOUS before being on camera? After 13 fucking years? Is that what gets him rocking like crazy? With anybody else, I would never think this, but it's Phil. He doesn't adjust to anything for shit.

I've mentioned this a few times before in this thread but it's probably some form of tic from something like mild tourettes syndrome or some other kind-of-but-not-really-on-the-spectrum thing. I have tourettes and I know after I've been working all day when I get home my tics tend to flare up because I've been holding them back for 10 straight hours so it's probably something similar where he's holding it back while on camera. If DSP were anyone else I'd feel bad for the people mocking him for it since I have a similar problem myself, but.. it's DSP, he's a slimy scumbag of a man and he deserves all the mocking he gets.

I don't even mock him for it, I'm just critical of him for not facing the reality. Though, obviously, I don't feel sorry for him either because he's such a douchebag.
Theory - Phil is saying loudly how much he will hate Returnal to bring extra viewers, and thus extra cash, to the stream.
He does like to advertise salt in the titles of some of his videos, and besides that he's obviously well aware of what gets people to tune in. It's interesting watching the tug-of-war between his sensitivity and his greed, because he hates being laughed at, wants to be laughed WITH, but it's hard for him to turn down the money from being known as Worst Gamer Ever. It's why there was that short-lived series of DSP-approved TIHYDPs, and before that he even requested a montage of him dying in... I forget the game, but we know what happened when someone delivered, and inspired the tradition that continues to this day.

You know what's really crazy? Phil probably doesn't wish he could handle it better. He wishes the world would change to suit his thin skin.
