In honor of Dany announcing his FFS, I decided to check out what the surgery entails, costs and images.
If you recall, Dany wants an eyebrow bone shave, a nose job, cheek filler, jaw reconstruction/jawbone shave and an... Adam's apple reduction. (Yes that exists.)
I'm surprised that he doesn't want a hairline correction or forehead contouring. They'll probably offer it to him though.
Let's see what FFS can do for him.
FFS is basically a bunch of facial surgeries all at once, so they'll probably do all of these cosmetic adjustments in one go (rhinoplasty included). The jaw reconstruction is for medical reasons, as Dany has an underbite, so that might be done first, but I'm not sure. He could be bullshitting that part. In general,
FFS costs 20 000$ to 40 000$ in the US. GRS Montréal offers this procedure, but they don't have cost estimates on their
website. Recovery takes
1-2 MONTHS.
The thing with FFS is that it's experimental, and it doesn't really work that well. Rhinoplasty does have a big effect, but bone shaving and contouring is extremely subtle, if not unnoticeable. It can also have unintended results.
The possible risks of facial feminization surgery include, but are not limited to, bleeding, infection, poor healing of incisions, hematoma, failure of the bone to heal, prolonged swelling, implant migration, hair loss along the incision line and anesthesia risks.

Your skull is important, and you shouldn't mess with it,
especially near the eye area.
Nevertheless, this is still an extremely popular troon surgery.

This is the best result I could find. He still looks like a man, obviously, but at least his profile looks a bit better.

I couldn't tell which one was the before and which one was the after. They put this man under a knife for nothing.

Again, I can't tell the difference here. The chin, maybe?
I'm not entirely sure this is worth the tens of thousands of dollars as well as months of recovery and pain....

Swelling reduces asymmetrically (3-6 months is required for most of the swelling to reduce) so this is not the final surgery result.
