That's not how you make money on MTG cards. There are two broad ways: the first is to purchase sealed boxes and hold them as they tend to double or triple in price within 5 to 8 years; the second method is to mass crack packs and then sell them online while the set is new and prices are inflated, the issue there being that you need a lot of manpower as compared to the first method.

a simple search on voting records at his address will show who resided in his house before he bought it, was some old lady, and his neighbours.
