There also seems to be a belief that Ethan goes on /mu/ and creates these threads himself to shill. Neither are confirmed with any evidence that I've personally seen, just food for thought.

The general consensus in these shill threads is that the music itself is obviously not well received. /mu/ generally hates Ethan's music and recognizes it as derivative and the work of a self-mutilating lunatic, but there seems to be handful of troons white-knighting and defending his music. They are very much in the minority and very stubborn; it's kinda uncanny. Ethan's fans are like troon cultists.

The white-knights were silent in this particular thread, but trust me, they're there.

It seems to me that these same troon white-knighters are likely the same group that posts threads about "Laura" Les of 100 Gecs, which contain pretty disgusting comments like "She's so cute and adorable".

That's why I drew a parallel between his fans and cultists. They're so hopelessly deluded and being used by a greasy pedophile to justify sick and perverted fantasies and his ability to indulge in them so openly.
