It was interesting to see that she was diagnosed as having Asperger's when she was younger. That diagnosis could mean almost anything (or nothing), but she does seem to be genuinely clueless in most situations. She seems to have enough social skills to know how to manipulate people in a very superficial manner in short instances (such as when she called the cops on her dad), but not enough to really know how to be appropriate. I don't think that it is that she genuinely knows, and doesn't care; I think that she lacks both knowledge and empathy for others.

The Aspergers could explain why she's a social retard, but since Aspergers have different grades ranging from low-functioning to high-functioning. She's not low-functioning enough to not live by herself, but she seems a bit higher-functioning than KingCobra. Since she's able to care about her appearance and even though she uses a lot of makeup, she is able to apply it quite good. She's not unclean for not taking a shower in a few days. It's completely normal, and showering each day is more harmful.

I don't buy into that the dad has gotten her evaluated in the past, because it shouldn't be a surprise on how she acts then. But yikes, he even lied about not being abusive on live TV. The part where they showed him screaming at her sister.

Basically, Dr. Phil exploited both Mya and Jim for content. They went on the show for clicks, and they basically sent them off their merry way after the episode. On top of that, Jim gave them gigabytes of information to defend himself from Dr. Phil and their audience.

Trying to be the next "cash me outside" girl, she got her 15 minutes of fame and that's it. All the more reason I hate shows like Dr. Phil and people like Mya. It's all for clout regardless of who gets affected by it.
