There were a lot of little hippie communes in the early 70s that failed. Check out Adam Curtis' series "All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace" specifically part 2, "The Use and Abuse of Vegetational Concepts" where one of the subjects studied is a hippie commune from that period. tl;dw utopian communes would only work if everyone was perfect and nobody tried to take power but humans are hierarchical in nature and that always happens.

This then lead me to his voter record (Voter record) (Archive), I believe this one is his as it states he lives in St Petersburg, FL, which is where he got arrested

He also seems to live with a 25 year old black man called Justen Sims


According to this article from 2017 (Article) (Archive) he was a member of the African People’s Socialist Party of which Gazi Kodzo was/is a part of so they seem to go back at least a few years
