LiveLeak has shut down.

Liveleak and WorldStarHipHop were my first ventures to livestream fails and REKT content. The fact that they were around for 15 years was insane enough to begin with, but it just won’t be the same without them.

I read that websites like Kaotic, theync, CrazyShit and DocumentingReality still exist. Just don’t share them too much with people offline, though.

There are also ShockGore and Goregrish (an account is required to see the threads in regards to the latter, tho).

In all fairness, I wish them good luck. Hell, I wish their new platform picks up some steam and hopefully it becomes the next Youtoob.

At this point, we could use some virtual competition.
Yeah right. Going forward they are going to be the oh internet of video sites for fucking over their users, who would trust them with their uploads at this point. Like someone else said they didn't even get people a chance to download what they had already uploaded, so it's a big fuck you to their entire user base.

An old article.

LiveLeak is gone? how am I not surprised that the inevitable has finally come?

Since 2014, the site has become less blood and gore and more of an embed for YouTube videos.

The ISIS beheading videos in the long run killed them, but its weird that it did considering that said content that was just as bad was on there years prior.

Regardless, its sad to see them go, but 2014 was the real year LiveLeak died. 2021 is just the year that its corpse had to be cremated.

Founders seem to have grown beyond the desire to run the site. And honestly, I would not want to deal with that community of fucking weirdos. IP2 community is wholesome in comparison.

I guess you could blame this on the sanitizing of the internet, but that seems more like a personal axe to grind than anything involving the shut down.

What's 'itemfix' supposed to mean? Liveleak is self-explanatory, but their new name? It sounds like a self-repair fails site.
It's like they just tried to put together a two-word name that was made up of two relatively commonly used English words, and which somehow hadn't already been registered, but simply didn't care whether it made sense.
