She-Ra and the Princess of Power - sjw bad animation reboot of shera

Now that I think about it, does anyone else think the show tried too hard with the LGBT stuff? They admitted that everyone is queer unless told otherwise.
Hollywood been pushing that message since the late 90ies that I am aware of.
But as you mentioned it been very heavily overt in She-Ra when standing operating procedure have been to keep it covert to where inattentive normies wouldn't notice it. Or blow it off and recite the normies' mantra of "it's just a story" when told of it.

Ominous. The comments are pretty messed up too (archive), talking about kids "getting away" from their "transphobic" parents so they can become their "true selves" and saying that parents shouldn't have any control over their children's lives.

Not sure if this has been brought up already but I'd like to point out Noelle's goat tattoo. In an interview she said her reason for getting it was because when she heard the "Parable of the Sheep and the Goats" she thought that people are "born goats" (i.e. fated to Hell from birth) and was scared she was "one of the bad ones".

So apparently her parents were Christian enough for her to develop "religious trauma" that seeps into her cartoon, yet she manages to misunderstand the Bible in such a colossal way. Maybe that's just the state of religious education in America these days. Hopefully one day she'll realize why she was warned against this behavior. *sigh*

Noelle and the other women (and bugmen) who worked on the show are products of Tumblr and are therefore obsessed with inserting LGBT into what they make. These types have been trying to put LGBT stuff in the shows they work on for a while (e.g. [1] [2] [3]), and now the studios seem to have relented (or maybe openly encourage it), so expect more of it. She-Ra definitely lays it on a bit thick though, I guess Dreamworks warmed up to the LGBT stuff with Voltron and just let Noelle and company do whatever they wanted.

Other than making previously non-gay established characters LGBT I didn't really see anything too egregious.

The laying it on a bit thick part is what annoys me.

Another woman making history as one of the few female cartoon showrunners, only to tell any girl looking up to her, "Actually, I was only able to do it because I'm not a girl at all!"

How can people this messed up be put in charge of kids shows?

I will never understand any of these people (maybe that's a good thing). I was born and raised by a devoted catholic family. I am still a devout catholic. I cite God alot for overcoming my challenges and difficulties in my life. Why these people treated it like some cult or some illness. When SJWs and Trans come off more culit and mental illness like. Hell I wouldn't trust these people with children

I fucking knew Noelle was never a dyke, she's one of those autistic qwir shits who get dumped by a bunch of MEN and now she's salty. Just wait till she dumps Molly for a dick, that's all these hos are about. She wants the dick and she's gonna get it, dammit

edit: It's very woke to trash Christianity yet get pissy over "Islamophobia" when Muslims are the real homophobes and treat women horrendously (speaking from the experience I had with immigrants in my country).

You want to have fun? Start that discussion with a full on woke lefty.

"So you hate Christianity. Why?"
"Because they are Anti-Gay"
"But hating Islam is a phobia?"
"Yes"
"You know they hate gays more than anyone, right?"

And then watch the sparks fly.

To be fair, predestination is still a hotly contested topic in many theological circles.

The miserable fuck? That is like walking around with a T-shirt that says "I heart sinners and hate the poor/sick/destitute/other people in need". Its not like there is a plethora of free resources that tell you exactly what that parable is you stupid fucking cunt.
I don't know how much of this is willful ignorance vs wanting to purposely mislead people in order to get ass-pats from shithead dyed hair atheist types.

Edit: On second thought seeing the type of people Noelle surrounds herself with, the goat tattoo is probably apt.

Fair enough, I'll admit I'm not well versed on theology. If that's what Noelle was taught instead of what she interpreted herself from the parable then I'll admit my fault. I just thought it was telling that she would get a tattoo like that.
I believe the goats parable she's talking about usually just means that only God can judge. A pastor's role is to preach the gospel, knowing that even some people in his congregation are probably rejecting it, but it's not up to him to say. Some hyperCalvinists would probably say it's about predestination, but it's applicable to you as a reader because you do have to align your hopes with God's and should frequently check in with yourself to see if you're following your own way or God's. A goat would just be someone who isn't interested in what God has to say about their life; they would make excuses instead of asking forgiveness. People can get wrapped up in thinking they're destined for hell, but the only criteria to NOT be is "do you care enough to reflect on your life and ask God for grace when you fail?"

I have a lot of sympathy for her because religious scrupulosity can really affect sensitive kids. They want so badly to be good that they think they're worse than they are and have a hard time accepting that they really don't have to DO anything other than accept grace. Protestantism became a thing because Luther was so OCD and anxious about his salvation that hearing that he could stop trying so hard and just accept that God had done everything necessary already changed his whole worldview.

On the other hand, you can see how this generation really doesn't like being told no and just wants to do what they want to do. Shedding the obligation to live humbly makes it possible to see themselves and their wants as the most important thing. Sometimes that's all that's going on psychologically.

I guess looking like a depressed millennial is the new fad

Alot of these trans-trenders that have popped up in the last few years aren't really trans. They are just emotionally broken people who are just desperately trying to be special and leave their mark on the world and gain acceptance that they probably didn't have when they were kids and secretly crave. I mean coming out as trans and doing all that stuff isn't really brave or daring anymore. You are going to get your ass kissed for doing it and will be put on a pedestal. That's the direction of everything now.

Instead of getting life altering surgery and making rash decisions to completely change their lifestyle for the wrong reasons, people might be better off trying to learn that the world doesn't revolve around you, its okay if not everyone likes you, and life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, and you're better off trying to chase moments of professional and personal satisfaction mixed in with moments of comfort and downtime.

I saw some art Relateddude made about this show and "seethe we are lesbians now". How annoying are the people following the show and how pozzed is it? I used to kinda want to watch it because of someone I knew, but it seems like it's pretty trashy.
Is this some kind of new sub-species of bugman?

I’m not surprised Stevenson and co went “the entire cast is gay.” That’s just tumblr for ya. What’s sillier is that anyone familiar with the 80s cartoon will tell you that Bow is definitely gay, and that the original show has an LGBT following.

Altho the way the show handled relationships in general just wasn’t good. Healthy relationships are relegated to the background, or killed off and forgotten (RIP Angela), while the main ship is blatantly abusive.

But considering everything that Stevenson went through before and after working on the show, is any of this surprising? She’s clearly been suffering from undiagnosed mental health issues for a while and never received the help she actually needed. Every relationship she’s been in, that we know of, was abusive. Homophobic parents, cheating significant other, tumblr...

If I had been born later than I was, then I strongly suspect I would have fallen in with the gender ideology cult myself. I see bits of myself in Stevenson and that’s fucking terrifying. Also, depressing.
