I actually went INTO the bank without a mask on the other day, despite all the signage and overall compliance by staff and others I was treated like a normal person. That's been one of the last bastions of COMPLIANCE in the area, but you never know until you try. Next try will be the county government offices, sure to be THE last holdouts along with the library (not trying to fight with a dozen shrill old broads tbh) though admittedly I did let my makeshift facehole cover (my dirty work shirt) slack to my neck the last time I was there for books and none of 'em said anything.

There's a lot of live concerts being advertised lately as it's the start of the summer season. Big show down the road tomorrow, where they've already had a few expos and a circus. Virtually nobody, not even the tourists (god damn them all, and so many!) is wearing masks outside. Only the actual downtown of the local city still has any kind of visible mask nonsense, and it's mostly because they're still waffling about enforcement there. Life is maybe not good, but it's OK in any case.

It disgusts me how young people are going along with this. Right, and the way I see it, even if it was legal in the most ironclad possible sense, it would still be a monstrous thing to do to set up a society that forces people to inject themselves with substances they don't want to inject themselves with purely to be able to receive food or basic access to financial services. Bodily autonomy really should not be seen as something to be brushed aside with no care whatsoever paid to it. The following is (for now) hyperbole, but if covid vaccines are seen as an acceptable thing to require of people to partake in grocery shopping or personal banking, why can't that logic be extended to things like proof of hormone treatment for your kids? How about requiring proof that you have an anti-racist license after graduating from equity camp? After all, isn't racism a threat to public health? There is no meaningful barrier to tyranny if people treat their basic right to maintain control over their own bodies or to refuse to participate in mass cult belief as some joke.

Employers and businesses can mandate whatever they want. What they can't do is demand you provide your medical records to prove you've undergone any type of medical procedure. I believe a big part of the push for vaccine passports is to amend or abolish these laws, it's clear that corporate America wants to have full access to their employees and customers medical records and the coof panic is a way for them to achieve that.

Anyway what's likely to stop this isn't whether or not the vaccines gain FDA approval it's the legal liabilities that will come with third party businesses making employment or service conditional on vaccination. The drug companies have a blanket immunity for any and all injury caused by their products, no one else does. Can you imagine the pay out for a 20 something who throws a blood clot and ends up a potato from getting the jab? They won't sue Pfizer but they will sue their college or employer who forced them to get it, and they'll win. Any organization who goes down this route is exposing themselves to massive legal liability.
