Made in China™
Honestly it depends on what you are talking about. China are really good at following instructions, if you want to cut the arse $ wise out of a product, they can do it, it's not their fault that the CEO/shareholders got greedy and saw a way to make even more profit.

There are so many products with 'Made in X' on them, that are all made in China. The companies selling these products, do a really good job of making sure no one finds out. Things like making a single part in the 'X' country, showing all the detail, production lines, etc. It convinces buyers that the whole product is also made there.

I am very anti-CCP, I refuse to be anti-'made in China' when I see time and time again, first hand, the difference in both workmanship and work ethics, compared to local manufacturers.

Often as not they mean the box the product is packaged in is made in X.

Umm no dude, sure that happens too but that's not what I am talking about. This is the whole product, with a single part 'Made in X', and a lot of times not even that. All of the parts are made in China, and then assembled in the destination country, which allows them to slap a 'made in X' label on them.

Not all weapons have to create massive death tolls, sometimes all it takes is demoralizing the enemy.

Look no further than how much damage we've done to ourselves in the name of "safety", China fucked us badly.
If they were thinking that after over a year of quarantine Americans would all be flabby and depressed and therefore unable to fight, I've got news for them. Flabby and depressed is how a lot of go through life on a good day, and now we've spent a year watching the news, drinking coffee and getting pissed off.
We'll swing a frying pan at someone's head with one hand and stuff a burger in our mouth with the other just for something different to do at this point.

Well, if COVID-19 is a weapon, it's a really shitty weapon. Nobody really dies from it.
I'd say its highly likely that the disease wasn't meant to be released yet. The best evidence of that is that it's release started in China and then they tried to cover it up.

If it was a deliberate release, it would have been let loose anywhere else but China, additionally if it were intentional (And for some reason they released it in China) they'd harp it up, not hide the numbers and try to bury it. make it sound even worse than it was to maximise damage while also making themselves look weakened and thus reducing worry about their followup attack.
Still did enough damage. Or rather, caused everyone to damage themselves over very little.
I idly wonder if the western world realized it was a biological weapon, It would go a long way to explaining the early freakout. That has stood out to me as strange, countries freaking out before any data on the actual disease was present, universally across multiple political factions and ideologies. If intelligence agencies realized "Its an accidentally released bioweapon", that would explain a lot of the early reaction.

Why is this one your favorite?
When I first came to this area scoping it out to see if I wanted to move here I randomly stopped at this particular gas station and it was: clean, big with a nice automatic carwash, friendly people, was chill about masks and had a deli area with decent grab-and-go type food.

My previous city was full of branch-covidians and mask insanity, so it was a breath of fresh air that I badly needed. I am not the only covid refugee here, not by a long shot.

edit: I like to get in routines and now this place is one of mine. Twice a week I show up for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Usually there's a few other small groups meeting there for breakfast before work, and it's nice to be surrounded by like-minded non-hypochondriac types. Or a group of old ppl, kinda like you would see at a McDonald's back in the old times all there just for a cup of coffee and to chat.

It's the small things that matter too. Like the coffee creamers are the big bottle kind that everyone touches (oh my). Some gas stations stopped coffee and fountain drinks completely, that'll show covid! :eyeroll:

Hm, but the early response was mainly "It's nothing, just a flu but weaker, don't be racist". Then it switched around and we have always been at war with the Kungflu.

Here in the US, but that was largely due to political reasons. The noises from Europe and many other countries were significantly less... ambivilent.

The Chinese don't have to do a thing (also funny that's who you're angry at) your governments are the ones crippling you. The chinese are just sitting back and :story:

Like I said before ITT they're already back to normal.

Oh god just listened to some dumb cunt with a valley girl voice crying about being sick for 2 days after taking her second jab. Maybe sterilizing these people is a good thing.
Go on.... I want to hear more about this lady's complaints.
For spergs sweating over the mRNA vac, I can empathize. But the JJ? Its viral vector. Why are peeps angry about this one now?
Needle ouchie.
Real answer: I have concerns about the spike protein itself, and a medical history where I'm worried about these "rare" complications until I see more info on risk factors and long-term side effects.

How come saying the Chinese virus or the Wuhan virus is racist. But...

look at these headlines today from CBS New York: Debris From Chinese Rocket Expected To Hit Earth Soon

Uhmmm, that's like totally problematic. Can we cancel them?

edit: They SHOULD have used "Debris from a non-US country identifying place's rocket expected to hit mother Gaia soon. Women most affected."
