General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Probably there are two kind of merch:
1. Initiated by Cover. 100% Cover's money. 100% or bigger cut for Cover.
2. Initiated by the talent. Approved by Cover. The talent's money + Cover's money. Bigger cut for the talent.

Question:
Is being a talent of a talent agency means being an employee of a talent agency?

I'm sure she makes more from her ASMR than she does from Hololive.
I'm not. On the contrary they probably get much more with hololive as a main gig and then they get even some more from their own thing. The fact that they even get to not abandon their previous gig should be kinda telling. So should be Calli reassuring people on that trash taste episode.
I wonder about that merch being partially funded by talent from that Lamy clip being a misinterpretation. Surely at the start of the new gen they get a lot of moni deduced to repay for initial investment. That's to be expected. But then, after initial period, I imagine they get more than enough dosh to buy cars, housing, luxury beds and whatever else they wish to feed their roommate's asses.

Still love whatever this is on her stream intro.

Korone is running an endurance stream to reach 1.5 million subscribers. She's already at 1.49 million, so I don't think she'll have to wait too long.

She also seems to be sick with a cold and is having a coughing fit as of this writing.
She is trying to sneeze

Basically, which one coming first:
1. Sneeze
2. 1.5 Million Subs

Agree.

I think that Cover’s merch probably likes those generic acrylic stand that everyone have so they might get 9-1 in term of profit splits.

On the other hand, the girls can initiate merch and only gives Cover 1 while the split the rest (9) with artists or contractors like Calli’s dakimakura (had an order period) except voice pack or vinyl. Amelia probably need to split with 2 artists (Hitsu and Nabi) when sell her birthday merch. Kiara also tried to get Huke makes dakimakura to no avail (I think Huke will definitely make it as merch for her birthday).

I think Cover can gives them “services”, they will need to share bigger cut unless they can do it themselves, then they can pay Cover’s IP cut which sustainable less.

On the other hand, the “idol production” project (musics, dance and voice training etc.) is on Cover budget and they will get all profit and pay per song perform by individual girls during concert.

This also works out consider how introvert most of those JP girls vs EN girl.

I wonder if our resident artist Tako would also release birthday merch like Ame with a little twist that the other artist beside Kuroboshi will be the Tako’s roommate artist herself.

>One Million Five Dollar (She meant hundred, her English is still scuffed), thank you!!
>She's prepping a bigger sneeze.

Shit like this is why Korone is still my favorite! :story: She goes where no doggo has before!

All this is doing is making me feel bad for Mel. Her merch was... a tote bag. Granted I doubt she's scrap for cash since I'm sure she makes more from her ASMR than she does from Hololive. But still, she deserves better than that.

Edit: Also, I think Watame has mentioned a few times that her Manager has told her not to get an Oppai Mousepad either, even though she wants one. So I guess what their Manager says is also worth taking into account, however, I'm sure the Manager's input is just a suggestion more than anything.
People bitching about gura getting subpar rig when Banpire get fucked like this, at least the sticker looks cool

There's something fantastic about how we can go from shit flinging and getting angry about the whole outfit situation to getting excited about an anime dog girl sneezing on a live stream.
I prefer to be here for the later rather than the former since it just turns into angry waifu wars otherwise.

I'll cite the Asacoco plushie incident again. Kiryu Coco effectively told the merch guys "Your prototype is no good. Do it the way I specified." If that's not a managerial decision I don't know what is.
Could also see that just being the American in her as well. Knowing how typically conservative and hierarchical Japanese business culture is, it wouldn't be surprising that some of the native JP talents would just go along with whatever bland merch idea management presents them with and not rock the boat by pushing the envelope when told 'no' on stuff that they want.
