Russel is definitely the kind of person who was raised by TV and movies, so in his mind he probably views it as on-par with popular "love" songs in Disney movies or some shit. It's why he constantly drones on about "kicking [his] disability's ass" and "not letting [his] disability define [him]." It's the kind of trite, preachy shit you always hear in countless feel-good movies and cartoons.
Trouble is, Russ is an idiot. He has no concept of subtlety or nuance. To him, his song is an endearing and plucky attempt for a nobody like him to try and woo the girl of his dreams. To people who are not idiots like Russ, it's creepy, desperate, and reeks of a sex-pest lusting after a girl who is so far out of his league that they're not even playing the same game.
I, personally, wish Yovanna would see the video and send Russ a personal letter telling him, in no uncertain words, just how out-of-line and disturbed he is, and then filing a restraining order against him just for good measure. It'll likely never happen, but a man can dream.
