I know I'll get rated MATI by the women in the thread for this but I blame a rise in troondom on the modern feminist movement. It become woke and trendy to demonize men for arbitrary things like being overly flirty or "mansplaining" while at the same time women are praised for adopting traditionally male roles and behaviors. While the poster here is still likely a degenerate I understand where he's coming from, it must be very alienating for young men to grow up in this current climate.

I also think that society is too hard on men but honestly, a lot of guys really are creepy and just need to behave normally. This is really the normal state of human affairs. Tale as old as time for someone in a marriage 10 years in to have gradually or suddenly developed mental illness and/or abusive asshole tendencies that the other spouse never saw coming. I'm reminded of a situation I saw unfold on Twitter where a female game developer shared a code snippet with a clever solution to a problem she was facing, a man in the comments praised her for it and shared a solution for a similar problem he'd had in his own project. This woman with x100 his followers then proceeded to make an extremely lengthy thread shaming him for "mansplaining" when he was just trying to contribute to the conversation. I wish I could find this thread again but it was a few years ago and she received no kickback for it at all as far as I know.

I think it's more that the widespread availability of porn coupled with it now being possible for a group of fantasists to live extremely online has created a sense of normality of perversion for a sub category of men.

my friend (who's kinda weird looking and shorter than me) says the exact same kind of stuff, the reaction he gets is plain disgust and a general 'get away from me creep' attitude

It really isn't. Not all of the time at least. Granted, people will tolerate a bit more weirdo behavior if you're attractive, but personality and social skills are much more important. I've seen plenty of ugly ass manlets that had no problem pulling women. All were genuinely funny, charming and pleasant to be around. And I'm sure if you scroll back on the thread you can find some troons that were pretty attractive pre-transition and still became, y'know, troons.

I do think third wave feminism and identity politics played a part in the rise of the troon phenomenon. But the normalization of porn and kink shit is what really started the whole problem. 90% of troons wanked themselves into their "identity."

Nice find, this is one of the most uniquely disturbing things I've seen from the trans internet. Not blatantly shocking like Jonathan Yaniv, but evoking more of a creeping existential horror when you think about why someone would matter-of-factly publish something like this. Rape and sexual derangement must be absolutely rife among troons in order for them to draw a cartoon guide to "self-defense from an intimate partner." I'm guessing that they subscribe to some kind of progressive stack logic wherein rape and abuse only happen when someone is "punching down," so trans people aren't capable of doing those things, they just "go too far" sometimes and make their partner uncomfortable.

Feminism and the other "progressive," "liberatory" movements all helped pave the way to clown world. Decades ago, "gender creative" people were smacked upside the head and told to act normal. But since the 1960s, western culture has been infected by the idea that "intolerance" is the worst of all evils and that all people are fundamentally equal. We now have a mainstream moral framework where tolerance is the only virtue and intolerance is the only vice. So today we live in a world where Drewiepoodle the Reddit mod can invite 13-year-olds to his apartment for free hormone shots and he won't get busted because that would be intolerant.

I'm inclined to agree, but not entirely. I think I'm 80% with you here. I don't think it's the main reason why trooning out is so common. I think that the fetishization of women's lives in media and society plays a larger factor as it perpetuates the idea that the grass is greener on the other side. But I have noticed how men cannot be themselves or participate on the grounds that they are men.

I do notice this problem online and offline and I actually sympathize with the white "cis" male in this current climate. As an individual, it must be dehumanizing to be told that you are at fault for things you had no control over. A weird phenomenon I've noticed is that a white male is simultaneously expected to be entirely knowledgeable but also entirely ignorant of his role and privilege in society. One must know of all of the ways that they are the devil but also be open to accept lessons of how they are the devil. I've had some thoughts about it that I want to write down, but I think I'll be dragged as an Uncle Ruckus that loves white dick if I posted it.
