There are extremely asinine about spoilers, before FF7 remake released there were several posters getting mad that people openly referenced Aeirith’s death. FF7 is A game from 20 years ago.

People who whine about spoilers are the most annoying faggots on the planet and they ruin discussion everywhere. Unless you're watching Psycho or The Usual Suspects knowing the ending isn't gonna completely alter your first time through and even then, if it's competently paced it really shouldn't matter.

It also showed how little these idiots knew. If you were actually a fan of Vanillaware, you'd know Dragon's Crown's art and designs are VERY different from their norm and that literally ALL of their games either have a female lead or a female character option who are never as sexualized as the Sorceress. Like...look up Princess Crown and tell me how evil and misogynistic it is. It's about an armored Princess wanting to grow up to be a Brave Queen like her mother, going on adventures to make the kingdom a better place and save it from demons.
To say nothing of the fact that the whole thing started because Schrier just made a dumb flippant Kotaku post saying "LOL GUESS VANILLAWARE IS HIRING 13 YEAR OLD BOYS TO DESIGN THEIR CHARACTERS, HUH?" and then when George Kamitani took a tiny jab at him on Twitter saying "If you don't like our women, maybe you'll like our men?" and SUDDENLY it's a huge moral panic about how homophobic and misogynistic this guy is!
It was weird because SO MANY game journos chimed in with the same idiotic talking points with no one defending Dragon's Crown...and then we all found out about GameJournoPros and suddenly everything makes sense.
