Israel gains sympathy and foreign aid, principally from the United States to suppress Hamas and Hezbollah, which are proxy armies of Iran.
Iran doesn't want those proxy armies to fall, because that eases pressure on Israel and takes away a chip Iran can use to hurt Israel.
For Israel, for all the pain Hezbollah and Hamas cause them, need the two terror groups to exist to justify all that foreign aid money coming into the country on an annual basis.

However, I believe Israel wants to be rid of those threats as much as other contenders in the ME such as Saudi Arabia, which is in direct opposition to Iran, too.

tl;dr nothing will come of this except lots of dead civilians on both sides, some dead terrorists, and lots of property damage.

That being said, I have a vehement distaste for indiscriminate violence, especially from the side of Palestinians.
Cooperation is generally preferable to conflict.

The world isn't fair. If you don't exactly adjust to modern times you reap what you sow. Israel gave them gaza and they literally destroyed any infrastructure like greenhouses left there by the jews which could be used to jumpstart their own economy out of pride/spite.
