i think someone may have said this before, buh otay.

with the alarming amount of images in which ftm headcanoned characters wear binders, i feel like the use of that is borderline or legit ftm fetishization.

i think this is just transphobic at this point, and actually not supporting "trans rights" in any context.

I think it mainly comes down to like .... projecting (in the case of trans artists, especially those who are minors/live in a household where they cant get top surgery or a binder), but its definitely full on fetishization when a cis/non trans person obsesses or puts having a binder on a pedestal in the name of Trans Rightz!!!!!
And im definitely thinking its the latter in the case of some art in SJW Art and Extremes posted here, where every trans character drawn by a non ftm has some varient of surgery or a binder.

I agree with you on the part about minors. In most cases they don't know better and feel lost.
Still, I think of top scars always as fetishistic, especially if they're the focus of the piece or if the character's in a fantasy setting with magic being readily available and capable of healing even grievous wounds without leaving any traces. In this case I don't see any reason why the character wouldn't magic themself into the right gender without any scars.

I will only talk about Japan and Vietnam since I lived in both countries far longer than any other and have actual experience with it.

Muslims are almost non-existent in Japan and the ones that do don't pratice most of Islam's teaching. Even the ones I have seen personally don't look like a spoiled US brat in that image.
