I know there was far deeper reasons why the dominos fell how they did but I bet no one watching the news about Franz Ferdinand thought they'd be being gassed in a muddy trench in Belgium within a couple of years after hearing that news.

I agree this ain't it but throughout history some minor events have set an entire domino train going to cause some really dumb shit to happen. Never underestimate the incompetence of national leadership when it comes to really fucking up.

People who have angry debates about Israel and Palestine online are probably all worse people than the actual Hamas fighters and Israeli soldiers themselves. Honestly I respect Islamic terrorists. Fearlessly charging into battle screaming wildly covered in explosives is much cooler than dying unconscious in a hospital bed.

I will take dying in a hospital bed vs hearing alluha ackbar, before i'm spread in to a million pieces.

I've lived in Israel, spent time in Palestine speaking with local leaders and regular people, and spent time among Jewish extremists who want to kick all Arabs out. I'm very familiar with Zionist theory and the history of the conflict. I've read a ton of books about the conflict from both sides.

You do realize plenty of people just ignore the parts of their religion they don't like? I mean, I'm not on any team here, but it doesn't exactly strike me as being unreasonable to suggest that there are some people in Gaza who are looking for their pet dogs that got scared off by some air strikes.

Know a guy who just married a girl from a Muslim background. Her parents insisted that he do a quickie conversion to Islam, even though when the Imam came to their place to do the ceremony they served alcohol in the middle of Ramadan.
