Phil lies about everything, so trying to figure it out will just hurt your brain.

Here's the facts: between April 21st and May 14th, Phil was tipped more than $11000. He probably was also paid by Twitch, but let's forget that for a second. Mortgage payment, $1800. Let's say the rest of his expenses are $4000 or $5000. So where's the other $5000, or $7000, or whatever...for THIS month.

The only thing that continues to make sense is Phil gambling the rest away. In fact, if somehow the thousand bits of evidence were all wrong and he's NOT gambling it away, then he's the worst fucking money manager ever because he's begging a bunch of speds for his livelihood AND living like a shut-in WHILE MAKING $12000 to $14000 A MONTH.
As it pertains to the disposable income he recently came into, even being terrible with managing money doesn't account for such an amount vanishing into thin air. I don't care how wasteful you are, there is only so much you can spend when your world is so small and you lack the things we know Phil lacks.

Not unless there are things you're trying to hide. And it cannot be over-looked that Phil doesn't even pretend to have interests that would account for the money we know he has. He doesn't lie and talk about supposedly playing the stock market or some shit that would make him look smart but also easily translate to lost money because that's how it goes sometimes. No, he denies the obvious WWE Champions account of his and pretends that he doesn't earn six figures because in his mind that makes it impossible for him to be wasteful with money.

Mind you, I don't think $5-7k went straight to Scopely. A large amount certainly did, but because Phil spends every day and never looks long term, it's easy for him to fritter a large amount away on things like fast food as well. It's just that that figure can never compete with his gacha spending, because that's even less transparent than Phil is.

He better be careful with them casino like games, it’s going to be awhile before he can declare another bankruptcy not to mention when you repeatedly try to mess with courts, IRS and other institutions they will get you.

he managed to worm his way out of the first pit hole but trying for another one won’t be so easy. Pretty sure them huge tips will get the attention of Uncle Sam and his buddies. They always want their cut.

Dave's complete mismanagement of his money is my favorite aspect of his lolcowdom. When it comes to him overspending on food, with how much he talks about the food he eats and how "gourmet-style", "high grade" and whatever else it is you'd think he pisses his money away by eating filet mignon and caviar every day. But no, he somehow spends it all on fast food and overpriced microwave dinners.

You know what really hit me reading the thread yesterday? One of those things "I knew" but never really thought about?

You know what almost every other streamer has that Phil doesn't after 11 years? A desk.

I'm looking at all these screenshots of DSP turning every which way and going back and forth. And it never occurred to me: why the fuck doesn't DSP just get a desk?

Then I realized that the answer in his mind would probably be something like "my TV doesn't fit on a desk you fucking idiot."

I don't know what to make of it.

Well that would have required a gaming PC or some sort of desktop computer for that to be the case, but the gout ridden sofa chair would have to be replaced with some other type of suitable chair, Phil just seems far too lazy and apathetic about buying anything related to improving the quality of his stream, because his motto is a slightly more destructive one that follows "if it's making any valid suggestions or concerns, don't listen to it".

Technically he does have one... but as we know it's a server PC, it's kind of a lemon, wouldn't really be capable of running a lot of modern games because it's running old-ish hardware, and Phil was never a really dedicated enthusiast about anything related to PC gaming. If he really knew how to build PCs back in the early 2000s (when you actually had to follow incredibly intricate and timely instructions, not essentially lego duplo manual instructions for modern computers you have these days) then he would have had no problem at all trying to work PC games in his set up.

He's a creature of habit, anything PC related is out of his comfort zone, therefore he wouldn't touch that area of expertise again with a ten foot pole.

Unless he wants to embarrass himself for us.

That‘s because he wants one of his whales to gift him a new PC, since he’s so lazy/greedy that he can’t be bothered to spend the time and money to research and buy one himself.

Plus there’s the whole exposing himself online to people he can’t mute, so his bubble is instantly popped. Of course, he’ll play that off with his usual detractor bullshit.

There are probably a lot of reasons he doesn't use a desk, including but not limited to all the ones mentioned, but I think the biggest one is that Phil just doesn't like that kind of physical environment. He is the epitome of a console pleb, that is quite evident from the fact that his stream has always adhered to the kind of set-up you expect from a stupid teenager who just doesn't know any better. His idea of gaming has always, and will always, involve a comfy couch with a controller in his hands, and the fact that this hinders his business does not give him pause because his sensibilities are more important than his internet career being what it could be.

Why else do you think his idea of streaming Morrowind in 2020 didn't have him playing a modded install on a nice gaming rig? He is literally the only person to think it worthwhile to play on the Xbox these days. He's THAT much of a console peasant.

It's very obvious why Phil is like this: his money not only doesn't get spent on what he claims, but is wasted on things he can never, ever afford to admit to because he insists so much on an image that he doesn't live up to.
"I'm gonna be completely honest with you guys...."

*never completely honest when he says he's being honest*

Alot of shit in Phil's setup doesn't make any sense.

Why does he have a fire hazard next to his TV?
2.png

Why does he type on the right and look at a screen to the left? Just asking for a neck cramp.
1.png

Why did he put his soundproofing in places where it does absolutely nothing?

Why does he have a computer still on Windows 8?

Why won't he set up the green screen he bought years ago?

Many, many other things are stupid when it comes to his setup, but its all attributed to one thing.

LAZINESS.

A word that earns you an instant ban if you call him that because he knows in the back of his mind that's exactly what his biggest problem is.

DSP despises anything that reminds him of actual work. He literally complains about wrist pain any time he has to stream from his PC. He doesn't know the first thing about posture or getting an appropriate setup that could function long-term; he just wants to sit in a "comfy" chair whipping his neck back and forth squinting at a tv 8 hours a day.

Countdown for when Phil develops a Dowager’s Hump?

"But my PC can't run games and stream at the same time!!!" is 100% what he'd say to that, which would be amazing because Morrowind can run on a 2010 potato. Imagine being such a consolefag you refuse to learn how to even work a gaming PC and assume everything should just work instantly the second you boot it up. Incredible.
